Painting freehand on miniatures - Boromir's Banner - The Lord of the Rings Middle Earth SBG

We go through a few Freehand tips when painting miniatures and we Learn how to paint Boromir's banner for the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game in this video.
There will be easy to follow visual steps as well as commentary as we paint the miniature.

Thanks, i try to do what i can. Im not going to be a Golden Demon level, as I prefer seeing armies painted as that floats my boat. But now and again i push myself :):)

Yet again, I'm incredibly impressed. Incredible job on the banner and definitely a good inspiration for me to give mine another go. I also agree this would be great in plastic. The metal banner is just a hazard on the table

It's a bit of a pain! We should start a petition for a brand new plastic kit lol Hats off to you for having a go though as its a daunting design to have a go at! :):)

I've had this model years I even got a second one recently both in metal and I've tried many a time to paint it with no luck. so I recently hired a commission painter to do it for me so I now have at least one with a painted banner lol.

Lovely tutorial. You’ve already said Boromir, so my vote would go to a plastic Gamling to free his Rohan banner from freehand hell.

I want to see the gondor mansion kit back in stores. I cant believe GW discountinued a kit that came out in april! Im gutted i never bought it when it was in store, but who would have thought it would be gone already?

Really it's come off the website already! Thats a shame, i reckon surely that must be a blip, or at the very least they would need to produce the next batch and get them back in stock.

@SwordsandBrushes all the stores in my country who sells GW products are out of it. I got one of them to check with their supplier and they came back to me and told me the set is discontinued. Shocking behaviour from GW!

Thank you :) Glad that the video can help break it down a bit. Ive done a Boromir from the Fellowship set, i've still got a few more to finish that off. But also the Minas Tirith warrior would help for this Boromir as i would use the same colours :)
