This has been a sad day on KZfaq. The beautiful wife of another KZfaqr I follow passed away unexpectedly, and then your client's father. I am so glad you got this table looking so spectacularly beautiful! That and a minute with Daisy cheered me up immensely! Thank you. By the way, mixing baking soda and vinegar, when done in balanced amounts, results in carbon dioxide- the bubbles released - and water. I don't know why people recommend mixing them when you don't need the pressure as you would if you used it for a drain opener. I hope you are having a lovely day and thanks again!

Gorgeous design to begin with. I love the curves and lines of this old piece, but that it does double duty and opens up is a bonus. Your respect of vintage furniture and love/skill of bringing things back to life is evident. It IS a sad story but your client has to be thrilled that this part of the story continues with happy memories. Lovely.

I loved the background story. I'm sad for the passing of the father, but he sees this finished piece and I believe he is quite pleased. This was so satisfying, the before and after were such a difference. I love the 2-tone colors, especially with the satin finish. The beautiful old grain in the oak stands out perfectly with the finish. This is a unique, well built piece, I'm so glad we got to observe the restoration of this truly gorgeous piece of furniture.

You are a blessing to people who want to restore family heirlooms back to their original style. Or better than original. Love your work.

Thank you for revealing the emotions that are attached to furniture, especially case goods like this. Every piece has had a family and a history. I hope your client writes his out and keeps with the piece for always so that the future you gave this table will travel with it and warm the hearts of those in its’ future. I have several things that nearing their two hundredth birthday, I want someone to know the joy, pride and love that the pieces have known. These lovely pieces of furniture soldier on and it is our responsibility to keep their function and history alive.

So so beautiful 😍 a wonderful, thoughtful restoration. From cleaning the felt instead of replacing to ensuring the plugs were back on the table in some form keeping it intact. I could sit and watch your restore this in full quite happily ..... With a fair few Daisy interludes inbetween of course 😂

Baking Soda and vinegar I use to clean kitchen drains. Stand back! I love the combo! Looks like you cleaned part of your table as well. 😂 Wow! It looks brand new! Amazing! And better than new because of your craftsmanship and use of finishes and colors. Gorgeous!
