My mother was upholsterer. Got huge batch of horsehair free from a boarding prep school that was clearing out old mattresses. Washed in washing machine. Lasted her for years

Once again the detail is there. The way you beveled the foam made a big difference in the shape of the cushion and the reholstering of the seat was fabulous. I have reholstered many chairs and am very particular with the corners. Yours were perfect. The beautiful fabric was the icing on the cake .

Oh my gosh! This turned out gorgeous! It was kind of funny, because I didn’t notice the brass inlaid dots until you sanded! David, That turned out so very beautiful. Every piece you show us is special. Was the black behind the star wood? I cannot imagine anyone putting that in a garden shed. Daisy is so darn cute. My dog also sneezes to say yes. It never fails to make me laugh, so I get to laugh a lot because I am forever asking him questions and if the answer is no he looks at the floor, but yes always gets a sneeze. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Hi Anita. It’s always good to hear from you. It was wood behind the brass star and I think it was ebony. It was a beautiful piece of furniture. Sooo funny to hear about your dog, he sounds like a real character 🤣🤣🤣🐶🐶🐶🐶

@@MayfieldRestorations Oh, he is the most talkative dog I have ever had. I will hope right along with you for the 10,000, but it's a bitter sweet hope because when a channel gets that many, the creators don't have time to respond to the comments.

What a masterful job. Mahogany is my favorite (now, rightfully found only in in older pieces) and what a lovely job you did with this. Once you said the customer picked out William Morris fabric, I knew it would be the most perfect fabric for this restoration.

I've been catching up on past videos and really love all the restorations you have done. The chairs are a bit unbelievable! I had no idea the meticulous details required, you are an amazing artist, upholstery master, and have the patience of a saint! But I'm sure its a labor of love for such an exquisite piece of furniture. The brass inlay and star in the wood is a 1st for me, so unique and ingenious! One of my favorite types of wood is mahogany, so Beautiful! I did love the stain choice to tone down the red, really a smart choice. I can't say enough, you are brilliant at your art. I can't wait for the next project!

Fabulous job! I bought a pneumatic stapler when I reupholstered 12 dining chairs, and you’re right, they work a treat.

Hi Colleen. Couldn’t agree more. The hand operated ones are ok for a very small job but these compressor powered guns are great 😀😀👍
