Shri Ganesh ji ko sirf or sirf Aadishakti ( Parvati) ne banaya hai. Shri ganesh ji Eternal child hai. Jaise hum logo me ego or super ego hota hai. Lekin Unka head elephant ka hone ki wajah se unke andar ego or super ego nahi hota hai. Or unhone toote hue dant se mahabharat likhi hai. Isaliye unka ek naam ekdant (ek dant wala) hai.

There are many variations of this story.. but most common one is that Ganesha first fought with Indra and other demo gods.. in the end he fought with Shiva.. who in the end used his Trishul to decapitate and the fire from his Trishul burned the head.. which is why he asked Gajasur (elephant asur).. Ganapati is his title according to the common understanding
