Please correct yourself. An alliance is a commitment to mutual offensive and defensive military actions between two States. Not every International Relationship is an 'alliance'.

Nope. They are independent country, they have their own sovereignty. They just a very small country with limited resources and man power that can not be support and sustain their own currency. Their location is not strategic for economic growth, They don’t have a massive manufacturing or financial cities like Singapore. Only tourism are their main sources of revenue & profit. So practically, using USD as your currency is good for the country, economically.

LKY was also pragmatic enough to learn Chinese to win voters even though he, being Peranakan, didn't grow up speaking Chinese. Now that LKY is gone and Singapore no longer hides the fact that it's a colonial outpost like **** in the Middle East, I have high hopes for the SEA region. Singapore will increasingly be isolated and made irrelevant, and the entire region can prosper once the cancerous growth is finally excised.

Palau is usually part of the Philippines when the Malolos Congress appointed a representative, Isidro Tiongco 😊😊 Prior to this, Palau was part of Spanish East Indies which is composed of the Philippines, Marianas Islands and Guam, a opposite of Indonesia’s Dutch East Indies 😊😊 Today, Palau and the Philippines are allies but in military agreements, it was seperated as Palau signs the Free Association Agreement or Compact of Free Association with the United States since 1994 😊😊

That appointed representative was never elected into position by the natives. Filipinos like to bring this up without acknowledging that the congress your referring to is not acknowledged nor is it known by 99.99 percent of the native Palauan Population.

President Whipps is onto it. China demands that everyone follows a principle that it created to serve itself and itself only. China doesn't respect other countries' principles but bribes, coerces and blackmails poorer countries to follow Beijings orders. Palau people who want China in, and even those who want China & Taiwan to "mend their differences" need to understand that Taiwan knows a hell of a lot more about just how China works than they ever will. You only have to look at Hong Kong to see what would happen to Taiwan and her people if China did have it's way. China always speaks with a forked tongue - beware the dragon! Taiwanese are a peace loving happy lot, they don't deserve what China has in mind. The Palauan President has the long term interests of his people at heart, this is clear.

The one China principle was made by both US and Republic of China, to stop the world from recognising Peoples Republic of China. This changed in the 1970s when the world recognised mainland as the legitimate government of China and Taiwan as defeated rebels. Even the US switched recognition

Indonesia has many 17,000 islands and many languages . If these many parts were behaving like taiwanese back then..we could see forever civil wars for independence probably till today. Luckily, 1928 long before Indonesia was formed as a "new " country in 1945 those many parts of Indonesia decided to become as one nation, one language and ONE "island". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youth_Pledge. In 1965 in Indonesia during political unrest, many Chinese immigrants (newly due to civil wars between national & comunist china), were slaughtered in Indonesia.. as a result due to competition/rivalry of both political system they called democratic (U.S.A) & communists (mainland china). Taiwanese don't know how Indonesian chinese immigrants suffering in 1965 because of their stubborness adding fuel to the rivalry between China & U.S unlike Japanese that solemnly accept defeat to U.S after atomic bomb (probably Taiwanese want the same ending ?) So I suggests to taiwanese.. don't be so selfish , no war is better then winning the war. Let's see if you really are in worse conditions in the future under mainland's rule..then from there you can rise up. I did respect U.S. and western countries, not anymore now. Too simplistic. This world is full of unknown . Becareful of what you want. You are dragging the whole world to abbyss if war breakout. The consequences will be received by many countries. Wondering if you know Jesus' word how to respond when somebody asking/robbing for your clothes ?
