Thank you for this podcast my heart leaped for joy as finally we are addressing this issue from Christ prospective. I heard God's heart's desire in this passage in Isaiah 19:23-25 that he is about relationships not race or world religions. I have been encouraging my Bible study group to be laser focused on equipping for works of service to be salt and light and as brother Fares Abraham reminded us to enter into unfamiliar waters to be fishers of men. Love you Hank and may God continue to sustain you to encourage us through these dark storms.

Does he seriously believe war is never justified? Should the Christian world just have prayed that the Nazis come to their senses and not counterattacked and destroyed them? There were many Christian German civilians that got caught up at that time as well.
@BibleAnswerMan
@BibleAnswerMan 9 ай бұрын
@jonathonhappel Yes. Fares Abraham shared his criticism against the just war ethic. But we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with him in praying for peace-for all people. Both Palestinians and Israelis. Even for those in Hamas that the Lord will bring t them a true evaluation like Saul on the road to Damascus. The just war ethic stands in contrast to pacifism. The question of use of self-defense in appropriate proportions against violent aggressors is an intramural debate within Christianity. Followers of Christ are not called to stand in solidarity with Christ-rejecting people, whether it is one nation or state or another. We are called to bring the Gospel of salvation in Christ Jesus to the lost and to pray for them to be saved from the power of sin.

@dannisivoccia2712 Yes. There are so many Christian Arabs and Palestinians in Palestine that are caught up in this war between Israel and Hamas. Certainly, we want to have solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering in the mists of all the fighting. We want the Christian Church to remain present in the area because we are the salt and light there. The Christians there need our prayers and support. Thank you for this. Jesus is true Israel, and ALL those in Christ, the Bible calls are true Israel. There is a higher population of Christians in Palestine than Israel (only 1.9% Christian in Israel, and Israel is mostly a secular population of people). Wanting peace for all our Christian brothers and sisters who need peace and to live without fear in all the countries involved is what I pray for, and more to come to Christ. The whole conflict going on in that region is very very complicated. Israel has been apparently violating International laws in many ways for years, something to look up and study, they also apparently originally funded Hamas. Like, and I’m not condoning this, but America has funded terrorists to fight other terrorist, this is apparently what Israel did years ago with Hamas. All this to say, please look into these issues further, because it’s very complicated. The evil and violence on both sides is evil, but this conflict has much history, we must be better educated of this complicated issue. God is not for a piece of land, because Jesus and those in Christ are the Church, He is the temple and His people are the temple. Israel has a part in this ongoing mess. America gives millions in aid to our Ally Israel. US can also call them to account and help end this to not break the agreements they’ve made. Agreements with Israel and Palestine have been broken by Israel. In saying that I’m not condoning Hamas, nor am I condoning the violations Israel have done, continue to do. Listen to a video, A Palestinian perspective on Israeli-Palestinian war. Preston Sprinkle. Learn more, it’s way more complicated than the secular news tells us, and that whole region is a mess, needs our prayers, we have Christian brothers and sisters all over that region suffering.

@mikewazowski489 What you say is completely wrong. Fares explicitly states the killing of any person is (37:41) wrong I condemn the killing of innocent I I I I feel sorry for all (37:49) those who have were at the music festival and they died mercilessly uh that was wrong that was (37:56) barbaric and this should should never be condoned in any way shape or form… Your assertion is without any basis.

@@BibleAnswerMan Actually, Mike is right. I believe Mr. Abraham had good intentions and that he is indeed in Christ, but not entirely right on all the issues. Nobody in their right mind can justify 1,200 dead Israeli's murdered and raped by Islamic militants nor Palestinian civilians killed by indiscriminate warfare.
@scottmollette9483
@scottmollette9483 8 ай бұрын
I agree, Mike. Mr. Abraham was wrong not to judge. In Matthew 7, Christ does not forbid judging, but rather informs us HOW to judge. Moreover, the Apostle Jon backs up Christ in 1 John 7:24. Therefore, by not judging the evil of Hamas on innocent civilians, he has made a judgment and has judged incorrectly. These rapes and murders were evil and there can be no gassing over this fact. On the other hand, we Christians cannot endorse the indiscriminate killing of innocent Palestinians.

Hyperbole noted in Mr. Abraham's opening comments regarding the hospital being the "safest place on earth." Unjustified. He never mentions the Hamas tunnels underneath the sprawling facility. Certainly, the Christian and Islamic doctors and nurses would have known about this. Even with a loss of hearing due to my military service as a U.S. paratrooper/infantryman, I can hear construction a hundred meters away. So, there's a disconnect there that the hospital was 100% on the up and up. And during the Yom Kippur War of 1973, I flew to Israel prepared to fight as I was entrusted to do by my government. Thankfully, God intervened and we never parachuted in nor fought. Of course, Mr. Abraham is correct when he states that no political leader will resolve this war. Far too much emphasis is placed on political solutions by the media and its plethora of pundits. This is a spiritual war. As for his statement that the Palestinians had their land stolen, I vehemently disagree. When Hamas or Fatah continuously attacks Israeli citizens on a daily basis, there is a justification to root out the evil. Unfortunately, the innocent do suffer as a result. This is not to say that everything Israel does is right, as it is certainly is not. Moreover, at the 10:40 mark or thereabouts, Mr. Abraham delves into the "discrimination" argument. Really? How many Jews are permitted to live in the West Bank or Gaza peacefully? The answer is very few,. In contrast, numerous Muslims and secular Arabs live in Israel, are permitted to work and also receive hospital care. Consequently, there is more discrimination against Jews (and persecution around the world) than there is with Islam. One need only look at U.S. campuses and the violence and "hate crimes" against Jews. I use the term in quotes because I never knew a crime to have been committed out of love. Mr. Abraham is right when it comes to the gospel. That is our hope as Christians and the hope of the world. He states at the 14-minute mark that he wants to live in peace. That is what we are commanded by Christ to live in, firstly, peace with Him and secondarily, peace with others, whether believers or otherwise. He does err when he states that Palestinians lived in "the area for a long time." Of course, having been born in the West Bank, he is almost obligated to say that, but on a historical timeline, it is patently false. There is no archaeological evidence to back up his false claim. As for transforming the heart, Hank is correct, but we evangelists and pastors, and yes, even lay people, merely plant the seed or water it, and the Holy Spirit does the work. I take no credit when I share the gospel daily to Catholics, JW's, Mormons, Islam adherents et al. To God alone be the glory. Mr. Abraham also is wrong on the just war theory. Of course, we "should turn the other cheek," as Christ admonished. Nevertheless, we have a moral obligation as men of faith to protect our family members and loved ones, as well as others. While I have committed no violent acts for the sake of violence alone as a believer, I have stopped a rape with a modicum of violemce, an armed robbery with the same, captured two robbers of a gas station with a shotgun, and assisted an overwhelmed police officer in Florida in capturing an escaping criminal. To have remained passive regarding the aforementioned would dishonor the LORD. Therefore, it is my contention that Christ never asked us to be weak men, completely passive, nor to look askance from our moral obligations. Finally, I stopped listening after Hank spoke of the church pastor in California who allegedly said, "We know that Christ is coming," as Hank is correct here. We cannot observe prophecy through the news; it is often proven long after the fact. Moreover, nobody knows when the Second Coming is. And Hank is right about the false teaching of the rapture which is an imposition on the Scriptures. Moreover, I do not observe the war as an exciting time but I do advocate for any country to defend itself against enemies, whether foreign or domestic. I'll come back to the video later, as it is time to "go out into the world" and preach the gospel.

As a born-again Christian, 'm sorry to say I'm deeply disappointed with this interview. It provides little historical perspective, but much editorial opinion. It talks about a "cycle of violence" as it makes it seem that there is a state of equivalent violence between Israel and the Palestinians. The reality is that Palestinians initiate horrific attacks against Israel, and then what? Is Israel supposed to take it standing, and not protect its citizens? Fares talks about land stolen from Palestinians. Stolen? Were there no Jews in Palestine (Judea) before 1948? Several surveys taken in the 19th century show the Jewish population of Jerusalem being over 50%. Does Fares deny, as Palestinians do, that Jews were in the land before them? Did not the Arabs living in the land (who renamed themselves Palestinians in 1967) leave in 1948 in anticipation of the Arab league's attack on the Jews? Did not the Jews ask them to stay? Did not the Jews that stay become Israeli citizens, today enjoying the rights thereof. Is it no wonder that those Arabs that did not stay lose their land and property when the Arabs were defeated? And ever since then those Arabs (renamed Palestinians in 1967) have refused to remove the destruction of Israel form their founding charter, and refused every attempt to give them self determination, IF it meant giving up their stated goal of driving Jews to the sea! I sympathize with Fares for those losses caused by the conflict. Are there bad Jews, who may kill indiscriminately? Yes. Is it the stated goal of Israel to drive Arabs (renamed Palestinians in 1967) to the sea? Are Jews sneaking into Arab homes nightly and slashing the throats of Arab families? No! Simply put, the violence is not equal. And saying that there is violence on all sides does a great disservice to the truth. Are Arabs killing other Arabs (Palestinians), are they keeping them from leaving Gaza, are they setting up headquarters in the basements of hospitals, and was the hospital courtyard incident not an Israeli missile but instead a malfunctioned rocket by Islamic Jihad? Fares clearly muddles and does not distinguish the truth about what is happening in the Middle East. There is definitely one thing I agree with him on. This conflict will never be resolved until the Prince of Peace returns. But covering over the truth and expecting Israel to accept its citizens being slaughtered in their homes, or while watching a concert is also not going to bring peace. God bless all believers in the Middle East, and May God open the minds of all involved.

Hamas was a creation of, or at the VERY least heavily supported by, Israel as an opposing force to Yasser Arafat. Maybe Hamas has been left in existence and supported to this day because you always have to have a boogieman. Same thing goes with CIA connected Tim Osmand (aka Osama bin Laden) and the USA. Fact is that we'll never make sense of all the chaos, death and destruction unless we look at it from a spiritual warfare perspective. The prince of this world is a marvelously deceptive dark spiritual entity who plays the long game. We need to understand that and take direction from Ephesians 6:10-20. God says vengeance is mine (his) and it's also his business to separate the wheat from the chaff. And in the instance of the modern day land of Israel, God will undoubtedly work amazing conversions of those who to the last days of the age reject Jesus as lord and perhaps condemn those who say they're Jews but are not. And, once again that's God's business not ours. And, I don't find any scripture that supports the idea of Christians, now or in the days to come, to promote an "unbreakable alliance" or "standing with" a land and people who mostly reject Jesus as Lord, who will usher in the antichrist after they resume the animal sacrifices in the rebuilt temple (as an ultimate rejection of Jesus' once and for all sacrifice on the cross) and who will seat the antichrist on a throne for all the world to worship. What we need to do is pray for their redemption.

I am Christian and I'm sending love and full support to all my Palestinian Christian brothers and sisters in Palestine. May God bless and protect them. Dispensationalism theology is a false doctrine. is Not in the Bible. Jesus was Palestinian Jews, born in Bethlehem and raised in Nazareth in Palestine. From the name of them (Hebrew Pelishtim) and their region (Hebrew Pelesheth) come the terms Παλαιστίνη and Palaestina. Previously the region was called Canaan. Jesus spoke a Greek to address foreigners and Romans, read the Scriptures in Hebrew and his mother tongue was spoke Aramaic…and has nothing to do with the zionism geopolitical. After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, Palestine was created west of the Jordan River under a British mandate (1922-1948), subject to partition in 1947 by the UN which allocated part of it to a Israel state, (which later became Zionist state) Unfortunately today only Zionism lives in this land. not Jews.people. who steal land and murder innocents shamelessly and claim they have some ancient connection to the land they invade and steal all the while spewing as much as lies as possible. the Khazar Jews are fake Jews... Zionist are all Khazar European Jews (fake #DNA of #apartheidisrael #zionists proves they are #khazars from #yiddishland who never had anything to do with so-called #jews (#hebrews) of #Palestine or with the land of Palestine. Sadly many dispensational churches today idealize a particular theology and cheer on the kill and steal and destroy motto. The adversary wants to kill and steal and destroy and that one does NOT have the Holy Spirit and is doomed already. There are children of light and children of darkness. The region was not called Palestine until 132 AD. It was a latinization of Philistine invented by the Emperor Hadrian, and meant to erase the Jewish connection to the land as punishment for the Bar Kokbah revolt. Jesus wasn't Palestinian in any way shape or form. He was and is the Jewish messiah, of the line of David on both sides of his family. Our Arab Christian neighbors and all Gentiles come to faith and salvation through the Jewish Messiah.

But I agree with Fares that the love of Christ transcends all barriers - political, ethnic, religious, etc. I am encouraged by his single-mindedness in this regard. It’s sad that even among Christians there should be arguments. Our hearts and minds should be Christ-like. Many times we let the flesh and the world influence our thoughts and actions. When we should let the Holy Spirit guide us to what is right. This is what the Enemy wants to create dissension between us as Christians because if we are to busy arguing with one another we are not being used by God for His glory. We are not being the Light and Salt of the world. Jesus spoke strongly in Mark about the coming deception, in that it will be so intense that even the elect might be deceived. God has given us the key to avoid being deceived: the very Word of God. We need to faithfully, daily, immerse ourselves in The Word to know exactly what is truth. The more we fill our minds with truth, the easier it is to spot the deceptions. Always in everything you do and think ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, He will not lead you astray. Blessings to all my brothers and sisters. Praying for all those in need wether they be Palestinians or Jews. 🙏🏻❤️

We need a Scriptural perspective. People are not normal people as they were meant to be, there is sin in the world, and we will see wars and rumors of wars until the end. What we need to know is that Jews have paid an enormous price for being Chosen to deliver the Message (being the oracles of God) and this is a spiritual battle. So we need to get the Gospel to the Jews in fulfillment of Romans 11. Without clarity on the closing chapters of history, there will always be confusion and continued speculation, rationalization and distortions that lead to departure from the Christian foundations.

Jesus said flee to the hills, the church is paying millions to usher the Jews back to Palestine, and to congregate in the spot they know according to their eschatology, is a veritable wood-chipper about to be turned on.

But life presents us with challenges. King Solomon was brought two women with a baby. They were suing each other for the custody of the baby. Who is the.rightful Mom?
@BibleAnswerMan
@BibleAnswerMan 9 ай бұрын
@marna7325 What does that have to do with this situation? War ends with the baby being sliced in two. Were dealing with potential on-going systematic ethnic cleansing of non-Jews in the region. It is something to consider. But the prudential resolution is for a two state solution for peace. None of the violence and war can be justified within this particular conflict. What do you tell Christians that quote Genesis 15:18-21 and say, Israel doesn't "occupy" the land, they "own" it??? Didn't the CROSS change everything? We are New Covenant Christians! ♥

Abraham's first born son Ismael is blessed too, and as descendants of Abraham are "owners" to the land too. So it is not an exclusive right for Isaac's descendants only. Blessed are the Merciful and Peacemakers.

HELLO BROTHERS, REAL JEW IS SOMEONE WHO IS A TRUE FOLLOWER OF CHRIST! A PALESTINIAN WHO IS A TRUE BELIEVER OF CHRIST IS A REAL JEW. AN ISRAELITE WHO DOESN'T BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS NOT A JEW ACCORDING TO JESUS. MR. NETANYAHU, IF HE DOESN'T ACCEPT CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR, HE IS NOT A REAL JEW EITHER, AND I SAY THIS WITH SINCERITY AND BOLDNESS. IN FACT, HE CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD, UNLESS HE IS BORN AGAIN IN THE SPIRIT. SO BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN PALESTINE, IF YOU ARE A TRUE BELIEVER IN CHRIST AND YOU ARE BOMB BY IDF, FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. THESE IS WAR AND PEOPLE DIE WHETHER THEY ARE CHRISTIANS OR NOT. FOR ALL THE CHRISTIANS IN PALESTINE, KEEP LOOKING UNTO JESUS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF YOUR FAITH, YOU ARE THE REAL JEWS!

@yeshuaisthemessiah8523
@yeshuaisthemessiah8523 9 ай бұрын
Joel 4 explains that it is first of all God's Land. And God gave this Land to the Jews and later through centuries the Holy Land was being divided and divided and divided by men/nations. God is not amused about that, so that he will judge the nations for that. God brings his People back to the Holy Land, to Israel. But what is left now? Only a little part of it. The Jews have the right claim to the Holy Land. If God see it that way, then we should, too.

The rapture?? You actually believe that nonsense? This is the problem with evangelical Christians. There will be a rapture, a rapture of the wicked. Luke 17:26-37

Hank is not a believer in Pre-trip rapture. In fact quite the opposite. The rapture, according to Hank, only happens on the very same day of Christ's second coming at the very end of the world. Many evangelical Christians do not believe in the Pre-trip rapture anymore. The number is growing. It doesn't make them any less believers in Christ having said that.
