That's the issue. These companies create processes that make their life simpler, rather than what the customer wants, likes, or needs. It's like the tap to pay cards. My bank's customer service representative says they're a very bad idea, and information is stolen easily and without detection. It's the folks in corporate that come up with this stuff, and they have no idea what it looks like in reality. I've been sent two of them by my banks. I ripped them up and said no. I was told when my current credit and debit cards expire next year, I will be REQUIRED to use the tap to pay cards. I think I'll go back to cash in that case.

so, the chip in the cards, and then the tap on the cards were actually mechanisms to get the public use to the motions to accept the end goal. It helps to understand by looking at it as generational stepping stones towards a greater end goal. Changing things too quickly makes the general population uneasy, but slowly and over time so that their children dont even bat an eye at the advances in technology because they wont seem that big when we were already use to chips and tapping- is the path of least resistance.

If the chip works some machines are so bad you have to insert the card and even the cart insert doesn't work sometimes and have to swipe the card. Who is saving time for. It would have been faster just to give them cash
