This Panda washing machine has a capacity of 10lbs. It's about three pounds more than the Panda B36. I can't hook up a standard washing machine here and am tired of the trips to the laundromat especially in bad weather. I already do some of my laundry at home, but can never wring the bigger items well enough. This washer has a separate compartment for spinning the excess water out of your clothes. Take a look at the video and see how well it works. Maybe this will work for YOUR small living area. Thanks for watching!!
UPDATE 9/15/18
I believe they stopped making this machine. That's really too bad as I loved it. When I broke mine by not storing it properly over the winter (left water in it in the barn-water froze and wrecked the pump) I purchased this one instead. amzn.to/2xlgWJ1
I did a review of this "new" washer and you can view it here by clicking the link • Portable Washing Machi...

If you have casters underneath you could roll it anywhere you want.A machine like that is useful in a small apartment or in camper trailer. and it's not expensive.Just the price alone cannot be overlooked...a lot of seniors with small needs would certainly like it.And big appliances like mine cost a fortune especially here in Canada where prices go through the roof.I wish I would have had one when I was a young house wife when there are diapers and all baby stuff.Glad you showed us how it works...it might help more people than you think...maybe students in very small apartment and the very moderate price.

As an introvert who doesn't like conversing with my neighbors when I finally get a day off from work, this seems like a really good solution! It will eventually pay for itself vs our pay machines, and no eye contact with the creepy lady with 4 kids and 2 cats that hits on me in the laundry room when I live alone by choice and don't want her company. Worth it, thanks!

You are not doing the "rinse cycle". You have a water outlet above the spin area for a reason. Turn your spin cycle on and once it levels out turn the water on, you would be SHOCKED to see how much more dirt and dirty water comes out with the water. Leave that rinse on a full 4 minutes. Then turn off water and use the spin cycle for 3 more minutes. (make sure you never have water running while spin cycle is OFF, it must be on only when spin is on). I went to an RV show and Panda did a demo. I am shocked with all these videos I see that no one uses the spin cycle to rinse the clothing off. That is the best time because the spin is moving so fast it breaks up the dirt and orders more efficiently.

+Cyn Walling yes, I went over this in a later "tips" video. The reason I made this video (as others did as well) was due to the manufacturer's lack of instructions with the machine. It was kind of a learn as you go thing. I wish Panda had made a demo video. That would have been great!

One thing I would comment on is not to use fabric softener on towels. Most fabric softeners have silicone in them and eventually keep your towels from absorbing water after a shower. If you do use fabric softener you can help keep it from getting a water resistant buildup by ever 4 washes is to use vinegar and no fabric softener to remove the buildup from the towels. If you ever notice your towels not soaking up the water after using them and they feel kinda slick it is due to the buildup from the fabric softener and will need to have them stripped with using vinegar and HOT water maybe several times to remove it.

I have one of these and the inlet on the spin side is for your rinse. If you put the hose in the inlet on the spin side and let it fill up then put your fabric softener in and turn the spinner on and it will rinse and spin all at the same time. I leave the water on for about a minute then turn it off so to finish spinning the water out. Thanks for a great video.

craigsclocks thanks for the info about rinsing on the spin side. I was wondering if there was some problem, or something less efficient about rinsing on the spin side. But it sounds like you're happy with how it works. The only thing I was able to think of was that maybe by putting the clothes back in the wash side, the rinse water gets a better chance to really agitate/work through the clothes. Do you feel like the clothes are as well rinsed as possible using the spin side for rinsing? One of the commenters above talked about another brand of this machine that she used to have that ran the fresh rinse water while the machine was spinning, to help with the rinse. Do you know if this machine does that? Or if it has two separate actions of soak (in rinse water) and then spin? And if it's just soak and spin, do you know how long the clothes sit in the fresh rinse water before the machine starts spinning? Thank you for any extra details you might have.
@mikeglover1533
@mikeglover1533 6 жыл бұрын
My old washing machine, provided with the apartment we rented, would add a spray of water while it was spinning. I believe that is what this inlet is for. It's not actually for rinsing. It's to aid in the spin with a slight rinse. The actual rinse is to be done in the wash cycle where the wash is done. This is where you get the agitation to mix the fresh water into the clothes to dilute the soapy water in the clothes. - The washer and dryer we have now are not top of the line, but they work very well. They were practically new when we bought the matching set off Craig's List both for $100. We did have to repair the dryer once, but it was just an "over heat" fuse. Anyway, the model we have now, does not add a spray during the spin cycle.

My daughter and her family were in between moves and with 4 active boys needed to have a washing solution at the ready. I had purchased this model of Panda washer after having read/seen the reviews ... but never used it. I lent the model to my daughter for their temporary use. What a blessing it was for her. She NEVER had to go to the laundromat even once... and it worked beautifully for them. So she had numerous loads per week, but just worked 'doing laundry' into her daily task list, and it wasn't complicated at all. When they finally moved into their permanent home she returned the unit to me, in beautiful condition, after many, many loads.... So there you have it. Even a family of 6 (2 adults, 4 boys) found the Panda very useful!!!

This is a miniature of the machine we had in the 50s. Same principle. The spinner had it's own faucet that fed water down the center of the spinner while spinning. We washed the light colored, lightly soiled items first and used the same water for the next load. The water spinning through the washed clothes acted to rinse them. We had no electric dryer at that time. We had clotheslines outside and throughout the basement for rainy days and cold weather. We now have a new-design drying rack that we use a lot in the summer when we don't want to run the dryer. (There are weirdos next door so I don't want to hang underwear outside. One man asked me if he could have my old underwear. LOL) Anyway, the rack can hold an enormous amount of items. It has arms that fold out on each side for hangers and they have hooks for socks. Great thing to have. Love your Panda.

+amycrafts2012 What fabulous tips! I was thinking about how I could use less water and I think you just provided the solution! The clothes may be a bit more wet when I add them to the spinner, but I'm ok with that. And I'd love to know where you got your drying rack. I have one, but it sure isn't as good as the one you mentioned. Thanks for the great comment!

The wash takes 240 volts and spin takes 120v. It takes A LOT less than a regular wash machine that requires it's own curcuit, like an air conditioner does. No, this is low. Think of 4 60 wat lightbulbs for the amount of time it is working. Low energy.

@ Homesteading Ways.... Awesome video... I to have the XPB45, It's awesome washing machine. I purchased mine for my RV. I have done some quick washes with it, and I am very impressed with with the way it washed and spins. It cleans clothes very well, and the spin dryer, wow.... The clothes are darn near dry after spinning. I have a couple of videos here, but I will say, not as good as yours... You done a fine job making this video. Thanks for sharing with all of us.....

Great video. I’ve been going around different videos and taking a look at them because I’m wanting to purchase a small mini washer like this. I’m also on a very tight budget so that’s another factor. A little washer will definitely pay for itself. We have a laundry room on site in our apartment complex, But I have back problems and other disabilities that are hard on me to do laundry going back-and-forth. So thanks again for a great video truly appreciate showing how heavy clothes wash in these little washers.

Great video! I have the smaller version which is perfect for me. I live in a small A Frame and even though there is a washer and dryer hookup here, putting in standard size appliances take up valuable space that I use for other things. The washer hookup is under the stairs which puts it in the livingroom as well. Instead I put my desk under the stairs for my business. I'm a professional organizer. The dryer hookup is in the tiny kitchen which also takes up too much space and I have very few cabinets and even less counter space as it is. So I have a small island where the dryer would go and I store the panda washer at the end of the island. I just push it over to my kitchen sink when I need it. I've had mine almost 3 years and using the same hoses too. To save time as the washer side is draining I put some clothes into the spin side and by the time the washer is drained the first load in the spinner is also done. Then I put in the rest of the clothes in the spin side and start filling up the washer side for the next load. This little washer is a real life saver. I hate going to the laundramat. I also don't use the spinner side for rinsing.

The price keeps going up, I might as well buy a regular washer , if I will be spending just as much as a home dryer. I would get it to save money, but I thank you for the reviews. I just discovered it today, so I looked around for more reviews. Thank you!

I wanted to see this version of the Panda. Thanks. Dec. 2013 I bought the 7.9 pound capacity one. Love it so much. I had to move into an apartment after 20 living in a house. Property was sold. Even though the laundry room is not far from my apartment having to use a walker to get around I found it unbearable to go to the laundry and carry everything. When I saw the Panda l was saved! I use it for all mine and mom's cloths. I have an over the door cloths hanger rod that holds 10 clothes hanger. The Panda fits just nice in my bathroom. I can sit there and wash my cloths. as far as towels and wash cloths, I do those and hang them up the same way on the thing on my door with cloths pins. I did buy a portable cloths line to put in the patio, have not needed to use it yet since the way I do it now, works for me. Now sheets, I found a wash n fold dry cleaners near me that picks up washes and folds and delivers.

It's a twin tub! Like we had years ago in UK. We would wash and spin everything then rinse and spin everything. I think 8 minutes was the maximum wash, the agitator was hard on your clothes.. Uses much less water and the same water can be used again, and it is quicker. We didn't have wash bags then. Great to see your video.
