Talking about the ongoing India-Canada conflict, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on September 21 said that it looks like it's doubling down on the pandering to a certain political element in Canada.
"...We have valued our relationship with Canada, and we have not escalated our concerns beyond a certain point, though we have, I'm sure, conveyed them at various levels to the Canadian authorities. It's a relationship we've always valued...I would have expected that Canada would value the relationship as well, but, the extraordinary decision of the PM to go public with an allegation without a shred of evidence, of Indian government complicity in a murder in his country, shocks me to be very frank...it really looks like it's doubling down on the pandering to a certain political element, in that country. We know the government, is dependent upon certain support. And perhaps this is why they needed to do that. Elections are also coming up very soon. So for all of these reasons, Canadian politics has led to a situation where a very valued relationship between 2 countries has been thrown into jeopardy...," said Shashi Tharoor.

@@kaushikthaker9666 I respect Modi govt passing the women bill but it is still a eye wash you know! Delimitation is bigger headache than the women's bill itself. Since 1970s (50years) we are struggling to do it, because the northeasten, southern states and punjab are opposed to it. I don't know what magic modi government can do to solve it, but this allows the women reservation to get delayed indefinitely.

Shashi Tharoor is an absolute example of how a healthy and constructive opposition should be. Absolutely respect him . He might belong to congress ...but unlike his boss...he knows how preserving the image of India in the world diaspora is important. He knows that pressuring the govt should be done within the parliament,,,,but when it comes to the international diaspora , everyone must unite with one idealogy and must fight to make sure noone dares to point fingers at us with bad intentions

Rahul Gandi still relies on pseudo-liberals. pseudo-liberals live in an eco chamber and copies western liberal policies which don't resonate with common people of India. That's why many Indians don't consider RaGa as a serious person. RaGa never spoke a word about this issue yet. He was the one that needed to address the people like this on this issue as the opposition leader. Mr. Taroor is above any party and is a True gem of an Indian statesman. He is not afraid to speak his mind supported with facts and he does it in a very articulate way without missing any points and is never rude even when he is criticizing something. Jai Shankar gets aggressive under tough situations but Mr.Taroor has a way of putting across his thoughts in a calm and concise manner and his knowledge of history is as impressive as his vocabulary. India is lucky and proud to have such a great personality

As a Bharatiya I have tremendous respect for Shasi ji. I have watched many videos where he has presented his views / opinion about Bharat. I wonder what makes him stick to a decaying INC , led by people who seem to have little devotion to ancient roots of Bharatiya civilisation!!! Bharat has a very bright & promising future. Shasi ji can definitely contribute to the growth, provided he wishes to be with those who are working hard to reach the glorious days ahead !
