this lemonade only has about 200mg/16oz, which isn't that impressive. monsters/redbulls are 160mg/16oz, ghost/celcius are 200mg/12-16oz, and reign/bang are 300mg/16oz. 400 mg is the max recommended caffeine intake for an adult, but i've heard of people consuming well over 2 grams without issues. the problem is how much you choose to drink of this lemonade, just remember that it might not be wise to drink 30 oz of a 200mg/16oz drink.

Yeah it should be bottled in smaller portions similar to energy drinks rather than providing at a free refill drink bar.

@@katc2040 redbull isn't impressive, either. mtn dew (which is just soda) has about the same as redbull, and dr pepper and coke aren't far behind. my point is, this lemonade is far from dangerous levels. you can buy canned drinks that are half the size of the lemonade that have nearly the same caffeine content. context is very important. this isn't just lemonade, this is a highly caffeinated beverage that should be treated as such. i'm not defending panera or taking sides, it was just unfortunate overall. most humans can consume this much caffeine with no issues, her death was caused by underlying conditions.

Caffeine is the largest legally distributed drug on the planet. If you drink lots and suddenly stop. You will have withdrawals. That’s not normal. I’m also a coffee addict and love that shit! Haha

Not Panera fault they labeled it with the amounts of caffeine and anyone that doesn’t pay attention or let alone have a heart condition and is sensitive to caffeine shouldn’t be drinking it. Her doctor warned her about the dangers of caffeine with her condition. She ordered a 30oz drink with the most amount of caffeine. Her parents need to take accountability.

@@e4rtgf adding the word “charged” is not enough. It’s certainly not indicative of how much caffeine was actually in the drink. Even beyond the marketing, panera did not adequately label the drinks in store either. Energy drinks have been needing to use warning labels for years now. This drink should have had warnings and it didn’t. Really not sure why people are trying to defend panera on this it’s clear as day they made a drink that was capable of killing people and made no effort to make people aware of that

The saddest thing is, after having the 20 oz one time, I know it would kill someone someday. I’m a healthy person, who occasionally has caffeine, I was WIRED for like 12 hours. I barely slept that night, and I felt just… wrong. Like I was on something. For so long. It’s not safe to have that amount of caffeine available without explicitly stating on the label that is extremely caffeinated. Prayers and my heart go out to her family.

The most annoying part of this are the idiots thinking the only reason she died was because she drank caffeine with a heart condition when in reality it was the insanely high AMOUNT of caffeine. If she had a coke, she wouldn’t have died. Also what if a 5 year old drank it? Is it the five year olds fault for not knowing dangerous level of caffeine were in it? Five year olds can drink caffeinated drinks safely, but nobody can drink this amount of caffeine in a short period of time and be completely fine unless they’ve built up a tolerance.
