I have tremendous respect for both Mel Blanc and Chuck Jones. They WERE Warner Bros. Animation and part of so many of our lives growing up

Mel kept asking the casting director for an audition and the casting director kept telling him we have enough voices. After over a year of asking the casting director, the casting director died and the new guy finally gave him a chance and the rest is history.

I thin Mel Blanc was genuinely humbled by this tribute to his talents are career. He seems like that kind of a person.

What a wonderful man. I went to Wikipedia and read interesting things about him. He has a simple gravestone with "That's all folks" on it. It isn't all as long as we can replay those wonderful cartoons we grew up with.

I grew up with Mel Blanc and never had seen him interviewed. What a talented and humble human being. The story of his car accident is incredible! Definitely will need to read up on this legend.

Brilliant to watch Mel Blanc a genius at cartoon character voices, its a pity there wasn't a video that didn't have so many faults including low sound.

I had loved him as a child and still love him! I think he was the most wonderful voice artist. There will never be another like him. His associations with Mr. Jack Benny are just hilarious.

Simply put Mel Blanc is the GREATEST character voice over actor there will ever be! NO ONE will ever come close to the talent that Mel possessed!

Mel Blanc had a God given voice/es . He really was blessed by God. He was meant to show the world that this world with its problems is still a beautiful place, and that we are meant to laugh alot too.

He was the best actor of all time if you stop and think about it. Changing roles like he did constantly.

Such admiration for this man. He made my childhood truly special. Utmost respect and love for Mel Blanc. Thank you for everything you did for us kids growing up back in the days during the golden age of cartoons. RIP sir

Mel said once that Bugs was his main charachter nearest to his heart and it makes sense as it was "Bugs" that was the part of his brain that was still kicking despite the coma :D

Such a shame about the video quality but still amazing that this exists even in such condition.

Mr. Blanc you were tops with me and I'm thankful I grew when cartoons were the best. You'd be very disappointed in what kids watch today. Thank God we have you on tape to watch over and over again. You were the man!!

Mel Blanc was and still is an icon in the animation and voice acting industry. He'll always be remembered for bringing to life countless characters by their voices.

What a sweet man. It's interesting: do you notice just how many of the voices Mel recognizes? far more than any other guest of honour I've ever seen on this show. He really did have an incredible gift for voices.

The strange irony is that Mel Blanc passed away on his successor, Jeff Bergman's 29th birthday(Jeff is still Bugs Bunny)- Mel helped pave the way for today's animation voice-over kings, namely Frank Welker and Jim Cummings!!!

Mel and Jack Benny were very close friends. Not many know this, but Jack told the hospital and the doctors to send him the bills, that Jack would pay for everything Mel would need. How's that for a friend/boss?

This is great! And hosted by Joseph Campanella, who's still with is at 91 yrs. young. 1984,....the year I graduated from high school. This is the kind of thing I used to come home and watch at lunch my senior year. Love Mel! Love him. I've said for many year,...a shame that no one had the foresight to record audio of him doing some of the great cartoons he voiced.

When the equivalent of 1984-1934 is 50 years while the same equivalent for today would be 2020-1970

AND TODAY AS A DISABLED ADULT, WHENEVER A NURSE WOULD ACCESS MY PORT-A-CATH I WOULD DO A BUGS BUNNY OH I'M DYING ROUTINE B4 THEY ACCESSED THE PORT. WHEN THE NURSE POINTED OUT THAT SHE HADN'T TOUCHED ME YET, I WOULD POINT TO THE CEILING, BUGS BUNNY STYLE AND SAY THAT I WAS PRACTICING. AFTER THEY ACCESSED THE PORT I WOULD ASK THEM WHAT WAS TAKING SO LONG. THEY WOULD TELL ME THEY WERE FINISHED AND I WOULD LOOK AND DO A VERY GOOD BUGS I'M DYING ROUTINE WITH THE OH THE PAIN THE AGONY AND DO THE BUGS CHOKING DYING ROUTINE TOOK THEM ALL A WHILE TO FIGURE OUT THAT I WAS JOKING BUT I REALIZED THAT IN DOING THIS THE PAIN WAS NOT SO BAD.
