That's Not All Folks - A Tribute to Mel Blanc (KOFY TV-20 Special - August 1989)
Special shout out to Animation Historian Jerry Beck for letting me transfer these tapes on a media loan and for preserving these tapes all these years.
These ToonHeads uploads are part of a project to find all the missing ToonHeads episodes not available to the fans of the show.
What is ToonHeads you may be asking. ToonHeads is an American animation anthology series consisting of Hanna-Barbera, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Warner Bros., and Popeye cartoon shorts, with background information and trivia, prominently about animators and voice actors of the shorts
Over the past few weeks we've been able to find many of these missing episodes but need your help to complete this preservation project. We are missing most of the episodes from Season 1 and Season 2 and need help locating them.
If anyone recorded Cartoon Network from October 1992 to December 1996 and happens to have these missing ToonHeads episodes please contact me and we can get them transferred and preserved.

This documentary about the late Mel Blanc never dies. Did you know that his son, Noel Blanc retired from acting?

Actually, his last thing was released posthumously when he did Spacely in Jetsons: The Movie, which hit theaters in 1990. Film was dedicated to him.

A lifelong fan, I have been researching Mel extensively. This is the clip I was always hoping to find. It is so lovingly and respectfully done. His son is in his 80's now and even though he was very successful in his chosen profession, he still promotes and protects his father's image. Thanks for this great video of a GREAT GREAT MAN!.❤😊😅😊

I met Mel in 1975 and appeared in this program. KOFY set up in my home for some shots. "Clink, Clink". Mel had forgotten all about that. I did a 16mm transfer to video for him. Noel has it now.

Everyone should remember Mel Blanc. A lot of kids these days just think about the Space Jam movies and current cartoons when they think of Looney Tunes. I grew up with the first Space Jam and I'll admit I didn't think the sequel was that bad, but the current stuff doesn't hold a candle to the Termite Terrace era. Kids today don't realize that even though the Looney Tunes today are voiced by multiple people, there was a time long before them that one person was voicing nearly each one simultaneously, and not only that; he ORIGINATED their voices! Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, Billy West and everyone else have, the entire time, been impersonating a single person's replaceable talent and that person was MELVIN JEROME BLANC! The same can be said of Daws Butler, June Foray, Stan Freberg, and not just voices. The animation and comedy work of Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Friz Freleng, Warren Foster, Tedd Pierce, Michael Maltese, Frank Tashlin, Robert McKimson and Bob Clampett among others! Every single one of these people and their talents need to be acknowledged, no matter how dated some of their materials are!

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent still-motion pictures enabling viewer's to better understand what/whom the orator was describing. Special thanks to guest speakers making this documentary more authentic and possible!!! The phenomenal cartoon character voices master. Whom entertained millions of listeners back than & today. I wonder if he had " "voice" insurance??? Liberace had " finger" insurance.

Wish Mel Blanc reprised his roles as the classic Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Sylvester the Cat, Daffy Duck, Speedy Gonzales, Tweety, Marvin the Martian, Yosemite Sam, Pepe Le Pew, the Tasmanian Devil, and finally Foghorn Leghorn on Tiny Toon Adventures. That would’ve been his actual final performance before his death

Happy 115th Birthday Mel Blanc (1908-1989). Also Happy 100th Anniversary to Warner Bros. They forgot to show Mel Blanc with Bugs Bunny on his 80th Birthday sitting on a car. I thought his final film role was Voicing Mr. Spacely in The Jetsons Movie they forgot to show. I thought he died because he had a bad cough during his final commercial. Its sad he didn't see the Bugs Bunny Balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1989 I wish they showed it. Anyways Jeff Bergman is the one who took over the Voices for Mel Blanc but his Legacy still continues.

Maybe they didn't show the Jetsons Movie because of copyright. Although the Jetsons is owned by Hanna Barbara, which went to Warner Bros, the film was distributed by Universal and, if I remember rightly, Universal still owns the rights to the film. Then again, I'm not sure if Universal still owns the rights to the film. However, it did distribute the film.

the host out misinformation at the start of the video. Mel Blanc was NOT the vice of Elmer Fudd that was Arthur Q Bryan. The Q stood for Quirk. he created the famous radio characters Fibber McGee and molly and he even appeared in an episode of "I Love Lucy' as rick's boss the owner of the Tropicana nightclub, Mr Chambers.

You are misinformed also. Mel Blanc was the most prolific voice of Elmer J. Fudd, although the person you mentioned was the originator of the voice. Around 15 other men did the voice, including Roy Rogers, only once. A radio actor did the voice for a few years. But Mel alternated between these other voice people, doing the chore for the most cartoons. All the details are easy to Google, and get things right. If you correct your misinformation, also correct VICE to read VOICE. Respectfully 😊

It is true that he did not create EF's voice but he did replace him when Arthur Bryant died in 1959.

Just one inaccuracy. Mel Blanc did not do Roadrunner's voice. Paul Julian the painter did it.

Not only that, but in roping the Road Runner in with Woody Woodpecker and The Jetsons, they seem to imply that Road Runner was not a Warner Bros. cartoon. Chuck Jones did the majority of the Road Runners at Warner from the late 40s to the mid 60s, at which point "Termite Terrace" closed down. For the remainder of the theatrical run of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies, other Road Runner cartoons were outsourced to DePatie-Freleng Enterprises and Format Films, but still distributed and copyrighted by Warner. There is one instance where Mel Blanc does the voice of the Road Runner. On one of the Bugs Bunny LPs by Peter Pan Records, there is a story called "Hunger Pains", where a starving Daffy Duck tries to find something to eat. In his search, he meets Road Runner along the way, and when Road Runner beeps, he sounds a bit like Marvin the Martian.
