The Pantera channel is the official KZfaq home of one of heavy metal’s most influential bands. Pantera debuted their signature sound with ‘Cowboys From Hell’ and invigorated the metal scene with raucous hits “Walk,” “Cemetery Gates,” “5 Minutes Alone,” among many others. With the 1990 release of their album ‘Cowboys From Hell,’ Pantera created “power groove” and made them the heroes to headbangers everywhere. Their following album ‘Vulgar Display of Power’ was certified double platinum and widely acknowledged as one of metal’s most enduring masterworks. For the next decade, Philip Anselmo, “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, Vinnie Paul, and Rex Brown continued to ascend to the top of the music world with gold and platinum album and home video releases and sold out arena tours. Pantera carried the flag for those of us that were sick of the bubble gum bullshit in the 90s. And when we thought it couldn’t get any better, they released The Great Southern Trendkill to remind us that heavy metal was alive and well. I could never be more grateful than anything to have been there at that place and time.

Growing up In Australia we were lucky to get a Metal band to host a show called Rage (one of our premier music shows that aired late night till early morning on friday/sat) Then one of our mates finally got cable with MTV, we would fucking ride or die to watch Headbangers Ball! Fun times. :) I still listen to the same bands today that I loved back then, and RARELY find anything new which I guess is why I replied to your comment, maybe we are a dying breed. I remember Dimebag jumping up from the other side of the table that he was siting on and grab me and pulled me over the table that i shit myself at first but he just wanted to sign my long sleeve Pantera top its something that i will never forget. Pantera played with so much energy it was unbelievable and how much energy there was at a Pantera gig it was just insane and din't think any other metal band could create that type of energy that u got at a Pantera gig it was just awesome but insane in a very good way. Ive been going 2 c metal bands for over 20 years and never i have experience a energy level like what Pantera could create. 4:00 It's a clock that reads 333. I always wondered about Dime's focus on the numbers 3 and 333. Even his signature guitars were named after those numbers (the Washburn 333 was the cheaper version, and the more expensive one was called the Washburn D3). He also loved saying 'three' in the 3: Watch it Go video, which was the 3rd installment of their infamous home videos. I did some research on it, and apparently Dime said that every time he looked at a clock, it was always (or at least very often) 3:33am or 3:33pm, which is exactly what we see in this video. I just found a quote from an article that reads "HELLYEAH filmed the "333" music video on March 1 at Duff's Brooklyn in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. Although it hasn't been confirmed, the title "333" may be a reference to the fact that number three was loved by Vinnie Paul's brother, late PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. More than a decade before he died, the drummer claimed that often looked up at the clock at precisely 3:33, day or night. He also said that the first demo of the title track of HELLYEAH's debut album, "Hellyeah", was exactly three minutes and 33 seconds long.Vinnie Paul's private funeral last June 30 began at exactly 3:33 p.m. as a nod to Dimebag's favorite number." Very interesting. If anyone else out there has any knowledge or insight into this, let me know.

I don't wanna be that grumpy nostalgic old man that complains that _everything these days ain't half as decent as they used to be in the good o'l days_ or anything, but let's just be 100% honest for a minute. We don't have to put it out there, *we know* ppl just don't make music like this anymore, sadly.
