Thank you for doing indie reviews, we are swamped with AAA studio game reviews and this is a breathe of fresh air

Still watching both your new stuff and the old TGS/co-op stuff. Thank you Jesse for bringing laughs and love to the gaming world over years of content! May you never stop! 🙃

A 2 hour game with all content is a game that respects the players time. I'd rather have that than a 2000 hour grindfest. But to each their own of course.

so much this! play time doesn't mean quality and i wish we'd stop treating it like that

Absolutely. But I think it's an age thing too. As you get older, and get your own income, you get less free time, and more income, so what you value in a game changes.
@SilverionX

@@nakenmil I couldn't have said it better myself. I also think games like V Rising are the best of both worlds where you have options to tweak and customize nearly every parameter imaginable.

I really like that you're giving a spotlight to indie games. I'd already bought Terra Nil by the time your review of that came out, but this wasn't on my radar at all. I think I'll have to buy this.

First thing I thought this was made by Amanita Designs. The art style is very reminiscent of their work.

Yes! And they have a very similar hint system too, at least in Machinarium.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Point and click was never my genre, but damn if it isn’t beautiful and it makes me wish I had the patience for it.

Thank you for covering more niche indie games Jesse. And I can totally see the comparisons to Samorost and Machinarium in vibe. For some reason it immediately just gave me a guilty conscience for never having finished And Yet It Moves, though this looks like a lot prettier and more satisfying time.

I'm always a fan of when indie games do something unique with the visuals like this. Like there's that one upcoming game where all the character animations are actually embroidery. There's always some cool stuff on the indie scene. Appreciate these reviews, Jesse!

I think you credited Burton for a look that is actually better attributed to Henry Selick, the actual director and creative force behind James and the Giant Peach, Corraline, and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Loving these indie reviews, reminds me of Goetia, a game I found because you reviewed it way back in the beforetimes when early access was called Greenlight.

Sheesh what a looker. I think the physics based gameplay fits the physicality of the hand crafted world they got going here. Seems to be an intentional choice. What a noble idea.

Honestly thank you so much for doing reviews like this Jessie. My Mum is hard to find games for (60yr old with 3d motion sickness and arthritis) and you get me so many recommendations I can give to her that fit the tight criteria of games she enjoys

Loving these reviews Jesse! The whole practical effects for a video game is such a cool vibe!!! As for the length of the game: I prefer 2 solid hours of a good game than 60 plus of a game full of filler and boredom.

The artstyle is striking, unique and innovative but also the reason why I wouldn't want to play this. When things get too artsy it often means the game itself is artificial and lack substance, at least by my experience.
