One thing I do know is my MK18 had a differmt cyclic rate with an H3. The standard buffer (H1) functioned fine, the H3 slowed the rate slightly making it a little easier to get single shots. My upper and lower are Daniel Defense. In my DDM4V7 it ran the same regardless of buffer weight. I use the Alamo15.

I went with a JP Heavy H2 silent captured buffer with a spring tuning kit on my 11.5" FRT build with an adjustable gas block simply because I was having issues with my bolt outrunning the trigger with the standard H buffer, the heavier buffer slowed the bcg down a bit and with adjustment of the gas flow it now shoots perfectly reliable.

I seen a wot run perfect with factory h buffer myself. Perfect. Everyone needs one of these type triggers.

Nice, Mine ran with normal H spring and even a lightweight BCG (until it burned off all the residual lube from the previous cleaning) Switched to normal weight aero BCG with H2 buffer and it was back to running flawlessly. (This is a hint that I need that gun butter) I would put one in my pistol but since I'm not going to shoulder a braced pistol on camera I figure I'll keep it to my rifle but good to see it would work just as well.

A little testing we’ve done playing with the rear brakes trigger and also the binary trigger the forest Tech and the Franklin GEN three. We found is not the trigger some cells that are requiring the heavier buffers is depending on what gas system running on your rifle. I just thought I’d put that out there

I remember when bump stocks were legal and people kept going on about about buffers and springs. I never had issues with any buffer and springs causing the gun not run perfectly.

Had a hang fire with 22lr, and yeah, it made me jump. Luckily I had the rifle pointed in a safe direction, but when I turned the rifle sidways to inspect the chamber, it went off and ejected the shell right into my face. It's always worth the couple extra seconds to just wait it out and be careful. Amazes me how many people just ignore a misfire. If it's self defense, by all means get rid of that round and carry on, but if your just plinking, take a couple extra seconds and wait. John was right to be cautious.

No single shots is the problem with all the FRT units. Your selector switch fix is very cool and would take care of that. Can't imagine having the FRT without the selector. Now if only my M&P 15/22 would accept these, so sad. Do have a BFS III and a Geissele SD3G that fit, either will scream but not as nice FRT's. Good stuff !

Okeedamn! I'd love to see you put a shot timer on this thing, if anything it sounds faster than a sixteen. (I believe the M4s run faster, but thems after my time.) Good thing a different buffer wouldn't speed it up, you might go back in time or open up a wormhole or sumthin.

Regardless of what any retailer tells you, it would appear retailers are keeping your info on items like this to use as a get out of jail free card/bargaining chip for when the ATF raids them. Just like Rainier Arms and Rock Slide recently did. I will say though, Rainier claims the information would have come out anyway, but they offered it up regardless.

Before you put the trigger in and test fired, did you install the upgrade kit that you mentioned?

The whole buffer thing came about with different barrel manufacturers drilling different gas port holes, I had built 2 ar15s with 2 different barrel manufacturers, but pretty much used all the same other parts and both had h1 buffers, but one ran fine and the other had bolt bounce. If you're brass is ejecting fine and no bolt bounce, and you're rifle runs without issues, don't change it.

appreciate your content, really cool looking trigger. Don't agree with the buffer comment though. Just because it works, doesn't mean it's optimal for every system. The carbine buffer is the cheapest spec weight that will work reliably in most AR. Tungsten isn't cheap in the heavier buffers. You'd be surprised what buffer weights work very well with an efficient carbine length gas system, and even mid length. It not only reduces "felt" recoil, but reduces wear on other parts, and helps prevent bolt bounce\OOB. It's all a balance. Not criticizing, but looks like the Mk18 upper could use a heavier buffer to get the ejection pattern in the 3-4 o'clock range. edit: no heat btw, LOVE this video, lol. I just enjoy tuning them as much as I love shooting them. 🙂

Wou be interesting to see a disassembly video. Does this trigger have a return spring similar to the rare breed under it internally? Or is it a slightly larger spring like the Alamo? If it's like the rare breed trigger return spring I think I can help out with the bolt lock issue when your friends gave it the death grip.

Let’s say a guy has a few Alamo’s and WOT’s, should one go get themselves a PARA-15? Is it honestly an improvement of the reset design or is it a way around other trigger’s particular patents so they could just bring their own same basic concept of a forced reset. The Alamo had the rolling wheel being it’s own “thing”, so what sets the PARA-15 apart and makes it special? Just that it’s available? Because if one has purchased triggers already, I mean you’re different with a channel making new content, but do you think a guy should go out and get one on top of owning other triggers? Because I want to get one, but only if it’s different in a good way, an improvement, making one’s WOT trigger more or less inferior. Thoughts?
