I finally made it to the coast in Peru! Starting in the town of Paracas. I stayed at Kokopelli Hostel. I rented a scooter and explored the Paracas National Reserve for the day. The famous thing to do in Paracas is take a boat ride to Ballestas Island (know as the 'poor man's Galapagos') but unfortunately it was closed due to weather, but there was a similar island close by called White Island which I did a little boat tour around and saw lots of sea lions, penguins and birdlife!

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I have said it before but I appreciate so much that you still travel like a "real" backpacker, being conscious of your budget, using public transport, staying at hostels, not only at fancy hotels. Your videos are so informative and a huge inspiration!

When I was in Paracas a few months ago, the national reserve was my favorite!! They film a ton of movies there that are meant to be set on mars haha. So you clearly aren’t the only one who thinks the landscape is other worldly! We paraglided and it was amazing!!

Can't wait to see more of this trip! I'm on a one way ticket to Guatemala in February where I'll be doing Spanish lessons for 20hrs/week for 3 months and then backpacking indefinitely around Latinoamerica! I've seen most, if not, all of your videos and it's been getting me so hyped!!!

@@BackpackingBananas yessss!!! I’ve been learning on and off for a couple of years, so a lot of the vocab is there, it’s just the confidence in using it and improving recollection speed!

@@rakelllindsay6600 sure! I haven’t booked anything bc from what I’ve heard it’s often cheaper to shop around when you’re in the location. But it looks like I’ll probably be going with Guatemaya Spanish Academy in San Pedro La Laguna. If I go with morning classes, it’s $120USD/wk, $95USD if I go with classes in the arvo. Add 80USD/wk for homestay too.

Peru has a rich history and it is really one of the countries on my bucket list! I'm excited to see what you are going to upload next as I want to see how your trip went! Also, have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane. I've been using this bag as my personal item bag for months now and it is such a hack. I tried using packing cubes and they are amazing but now I switched to a duffle bag. Tried Nomad Lane's Bento bag and it's a good choice!

I was in Perú in September, only for 3 weeks, but it definitely exceeded my expectations and I will definitely go back to see some more of the country. Would defina recommend and was cheaper than I expected.

Hi, I am originally from Peru and I can give you some info. I haven’t travel there recently like Christianne but I know somethings here. I believe Christianne has some info regarding Puno. Check that video and perhaps you could either be inspired or just not go. A place to go of course is Cuzco. Another great place is Arequipa. Peru has so many places to see and experience from any point (e.g. cultural richness, beautiful landscape, etc.) the North of Peru is also great! Trujillo, Piura. I hope this was helpful but check all of her Peru vlogs for more info.
