This animated video briefly illustrate the four suggested pathways which might mediate the mechanisms of actions of Paracetamol (Acetaminophen)
1- Serotonin Pathway
2- Eicosanoids Pathways
3- Cannabinoids Pathways
4- Opioids Pathways
Additionally it explains why there are two different name for the same drug : Paracetamol and Acetaminophen.

what did they tell you? because paracetamol works in multiple ways they could have not exactly been "wrong" but missing additional MOA's
