2:53 has to be one of the most chilling parts of a song Ive heard in a while. The raw emotions from the singer screaming in Japanese to face your sorrow and pain and to keep moving forward is so powerful

Literally one of the best shows this season. Too bad some people don't understand about the development of Thorfinn in this arc. 😔

I've just finished season 2 last night after postponing for a long time. Thorfinn's dilemma is one of the most relatable humane things in the history of human-being, probably because the story is partially based on true history. I adore every Thorfinn's dialogue, he's now become one of my favorite main characters. If you think a little bit deeper, season 1 Thorfinn is a confused and rebelious teenager, whereas season 2 Thorfinn is someone who seeks wisdom from the past to move towards maturity. And everything is depicted beautifully in accordance with the zeitgeist and socio-political context of Viking's era (which I can never imagine myself living in that kind of scary era). We all definitely have our own Thorfinn inside us, to embrace. So, in my opinion, those who think season 2 is boring, probably just some teenagers who still cannot see deeper into life.

The only opening I've never skipped. Peak song for a peak show. Even the lyrics matched both Thorfinn's and Canute's PoVs. Hoping to hear another song from this band for *Vinland Saga Season 3!!!*

No words can express how much both Vinland Saga and SSTP have changed my life for the better. Thank you SSTP, for being one of those bands that I can constantly play any of your songs on repeat. Mukanjyo was so good, and there are times when it gets me hyped up so much when I'm doing certain things. But Paradox is honestly one of my top, if not my absolute favorite SSTP song. The emotions, the chord progressions, the amazing instrumentals, and Yosh's unique voice have once again coalesced into a piece of music that ties in tremendously well with the story and especially this current season of Vinland. I hope with all my heart, for SSTP to be able to continue doing future openings for Vinland Saga for as long as the series animated, and also for new albums along the way. Much love, and I hope you guys will do a Southeast Asia tour sometime soon!!!

I love the scream part is when Thorfinn was In "Valholl/Valhalla" and able to climb the pit

The screamo part with Thorfinn's awakening is just perfect, especially combined with the lyrics.

I can't be the only one who thinks that Thorfinn's character development is among the best in all of manga. Just an incredible transformation as a human being, from violent, bitter and hellbent on revenge to being kind-hearted, considerate, selfless, and having to go through the process of letting go of the rage that drove his actions throughout his life until that point. And the transition in tone from Mukanjyo to Paradox reflects that journey he has made so well.

Vinland saga is one of the best-written stories, top tier. I haven't met any more excellent character development is written than Vinland saga.

When i thought Mukanjyo cannot be surpassed, SSTP dropped this MASTERPIECE! Really got this melody stuck on my head since the first time i heard it lmao!

After hearing and reading the lyrics of the two openings by Survive Said The Prophet, I can't even begin to imagine how much work they put into the music and lyrics to encapsulate Thorfinn's journey and personality so perfectly. It is one thing to make a great track with not much meaningful lyrics but to achieve both of these things at such a crazily good level is unfathomable to me. That is the reason I really respect this band and will continue to support them.

Its really beautiful to see from empty husk to blooming flower that shine even in the cold cold land. Vinland saga s2, Slave arc literally you lost something in your life, and you just give up. But your friends, colleagues, family, cheering you and make you found something more precious again than before even more stronger, that is the menaning of Life itself. The scene at 2:50 with the child stabbed, I cant even describe how sickening it felt and having the music quiet with the buildup... then to see Thorfinn's reaction right after made me feel his gut wrenching pain and regret. This MV is really well done and the anime really gets the message across against violence.
