Hey Tucker, my complements for putting together an impressive and very needed series for the community. I've been a military pilot for 20+ years and can say for sure that learning from the mistakes of others is an essential element of aviation safey. I've trained with Guigui at ParaCosta and one of my key take-aways was that those who treat paramotor as an aviation activity tend to be much safer than those thinking of it as an exteme sport. You've always advocated formal training, and I agree. Training begins to set the tone of an aviation mindset for those not otherwise trained in aviation activities. Keep up the great work!!!

I think these videos are an excellent idea! I'm way too old to get into this sport but I appreciate all the knowledge and skill that you are sharing. No matter what you are doing it's important to keep your ego in check. In this case your life depends on it. It seemed to me that there was an element of showing off to the spectators in these videos and way too little space to take off. Cheers I'll continue to enjoy the spectacular scenery that you film and fly in my dreams!

When I watched that clip at 8:34 a second time, I saw the satellite dish on the roof twist - it happens fast, so you have to really be looking there. So, his line wrapped around the dish as he was launching ( actually, it caught the arm that sticks off the front there ). OUCH! That first clip was butt-pucker and cringe city to watch!! Worst one I've seen, hands down! Great video series, Tucker! Great way to educate, while dispelling common myths about flying these things. 👍👍

You can watch others crash videos and try to do your own analysis: when do you notice something is wrong? What is wrong? How did the pilot in the video reacted? How would you react instead? With that reaction what would have been the outcome? Share the video with ppg friend to see if they have the same analysis as you. I do that with paragliding. I Dont do PPG.

I'm just getting interested in the sport. I had not seen any crash compilations. Glad I saw your vids first. Now that I have seen your two videos on the subject, when I look at comipations I try to look at them critically and try to figure out what the person did wrong. I appreciate more of these analyses of fight crashes, as the more the scenarios you cover are lessons in not what to do. Plus if I take the plunge I will certainly do as you say, get with a good training outfit and a reserve chute.
