A beautiful evening of late summer flying ends with just a little more excitement than necessary. The challenges of obstacle strewn, tight space paramotor flying, seem amplified when flying a trike. The big wing certainly didn't do me any favors here, but it was so fun to just float along, at least until the very end. Throw in a gap in currency and we're all glad this ended well.

A lot of people assume trike launches and landings are a lot easier than foot launchers. I’m not sure either is easier than the other. They can both humble you in a hurry. Nice save!

I've been flying for about 9 months, so I'm almost through all the seasons, but I recently found out about tree rotors similarly. There is a spot where I fly often, and I've never had a problem with the rotor affecting my flight near this particular set of trees. I was about 20 feet off the ground when I suddenly lost altitude and nearly slammed into the ground. Thankfully, brake pressure and full throttle saved me, but it was scary, and I respect those tree lines a lot more now.

Thanks VERY much for sharing. I pulled the trigger in a trike on Friday. Have 2 flights in now. So I'm trying to be even more of a sponge for trike related info than normal and this was good stuff. Planning to post a vid on my little learnings from flight #1 and 2

ha... Any chance you're heading to the Rockingham NC event? I think it's the same weekend as Parafest in Live Oak.
