Hello to the towtrucker Family. The reason the girl in the video got lucky and only had to pay $50 drop fee, was because this was a Paving job going on and the manager did not want to tow the cars in the first place, The guys who were working were also waiting on me to clear the remaining cars so they could finish the work in the designated area for this particular day. This has been common while doing paving work, as many properties will just pay us to move the cars around the property. Taking the $50 drop fee also took pressure off the manager, who was having additional residents coming in the office pissed off about their cars. Managers don't like the drama at the office. We ALL know damn well that complex posted notices a week in advance that this was going to be going on and the taped areas just reinforce it. Don't tell me they didn't look out earlier and see the taped areas and all the other cars were gone. But they sure as hell get out there when the truck gets hooked up!

Love how she thought she was going to bully you with cussing and fronting, then had to come to you, hat in hand, and beg you to drop her car. Love the dramatic sighs too. $10 said she could have borrowed the other $50 from a neighbor or parent. Sorry, I'd have hauled it off to the lot.

She's one who definitely should have paid the full $100! These people who ignore warnings, emails, and letters posted to their door, must learn responsibility. Her going to the office, threatening to sue you and them and getting physical, is not the way to handle a dispute. She cried because her adrenaline was way up, and she saw her car on the tow truck. I bet they can afford to go out and party! I don't think helping her, did her any favor. She's learned if she cries, she'll get what she wants.

The grace you showed her reflects well on your character and hopefully she learned a lesson to be better prepared. Everyone should have $1,000 cash for emergencies stashed somewhere in their home. If she and her boyfriend don't have more than $50 between them, then they need to learn how to manage their finances,... and maybe take a break from the daily starbucks or lunches at restaurants.
