Agreed. The fines for no insurance must be raised to, at least, a years worth of insurance.

That's easy to answer Because the punishment is not very large. Here, if you do not pay your road tax, do not pay you insurance or do not get your car inspected every 2 years the plates will go on a national police list and any policecar with ANPR (Almost all have them now) will flag the car and the police will stop you and remove your plates. To get them back you have to pay all of your dues...Here, as long as you have the plates, you must pay so if you drove for 2 years without paying road tax, you can never get plates for the car again unless you pay for 2 years worth of road tax. Also, if you do not deregister your car/plates, and you have no valid insurance you now incur a daily fine of $37 per day, even if you can prove the car is scrapped or not on the street. When you paid all of your missing payments and daily fines, you can have new plates on the car. You just need to find an insurance company willing to take you and then go to a testing station and pay the $200 a new set of plates cost. We do not have the same level of problems with people with no insurance or road tax paid or cars that have not been inspected. It is simply very expensive to not make sure your stuff is in order, and to be honest....It's not that hard having these things in order. It also helps here, that we do not deal with old outdated systems with stickers, we pay twice a year for the road tax, and yearly for insurance, and everything can be automated so that the money is automatically deducted from our account and we do not need to think about it or buy and attack stickers.

Simple answer. Nobody in the Government at all levels enforced anything except mask requirements during the pandemic. People did not even have to pay most of their bills and got away with it. Bear in mind honest folks took care of their business just like usual but sad fact is their are more dishonest folks than honest these days. But its good to see that bad people still get theirs in the end. If you handle your business and follow the law in the long run you will get ahead if you try hard enough. Shortcuts never pay out in the long haul. Not paying your bills then is catching back up with them now. Same with ignoring your tags.

@@6996brandylthey probably paid just enough to get it off the lot and never looked back, or maybe it’s stolen and the temp tag is a fake. Johnny did mention about fake paper plates a while ago in a video (don’t remember which one) and he mentioned it’s a big problem in Atlanta. Probably a big problem everywhere, but I don’t work in a job that would have that info.

I don't understand why some occupations draw the unwashed, but they do. Regardless of what a person's job is, they should strive to look presentable and at the very least, like they take baths on a regular basis.
