I bought one but it's still in the shed from two years ago! as soon as it stops raining, I'm planting strawberries in mine. I didn't realize you can grow so much in them. Looks like I'll be buying one per year!

Super impressed with your Greenstalks! I have watched so many other videos about them and none seem to really fulfill the potential except for yours. The results really speak for themselves. Thank you for sharing your methods! I'll be trying your soil mix and all your other tips.

I just bought a greenstalk for next year so this is inspiring! I didn't think you could fit so many pepper plants on one stalk and I thought they'd all have to be on the bottom row but yours look amazing. I love that you weigh them out and follow up on your harvest in so much detail

I have seen these before but I never even thought about growing peppers in them!! This is definitely something I want to test out in the future and see what different kinds of peppers I can manage to grow in them. This is so cool!

I planted 3 pepper plants in the GreenStalk this year for the first time. They are doing great! I’m so impressed with all of yours! Did you plant a pepper in each compartment? Next year I’ll be doing the same. Thanks for sharing, Donna!

Sure did! One plant in each pocket, all started with seeds indoors, early spring. Glad to hear they're doing great!

That looks awesome! I am still harvesting some things I grew this year,. but man fighting the bugs is a war in itself staying organic. Every day picking bugs, worms, and eggs off plants. But the taste of fresh tomato, cucumbers, many types of berries, its good to know where and what is in my food. I need to try some pepper like you have. But I have to ask if you can, what is that your plants are growing in, and where to get them?

Do you ever have trouble with sweet peppers having heat from crossing with hot peppers
@RainbowGardens
@RainbowGardens 3 жыл бұрын
You may experience that if you are saving seed from peppers which have been grown without a insect cover and save the seeds to grow the following year. If you plan to save seed, grow the plant with an insect cover so they do not cross via pollinators.

I can understand growing a lot of tomatoes, as there are easy ways to preserve. What do people do with a large amount of peppers? All I can think of doing with them is freezing and dehydrating. What else?

What is the proper way to freeze peppers? Do they have to be de-seeded and de-stemmed? Do they have to be slightly cooked? Thanks.
@RainbowGardens
@RainbowGardens 3 жыл бұрын
You can freeze peppers many ways. I typically freeze my hot small peppers whole. However, I will mince my jalapenos and freeze them that way too! I always remove the seeds for my larger bells, and my also blanch them first before freezeing as in this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zq-Imcukla2Zf6c.html

I know this is older, but how often are you fertilizing your green stalks. I tried doing peppers on one of my green stalks last year, but I really did pitiful. I’m guessing it might have been a fertilizing issue.

Hi there! I fertilize with a water soluble fertilizer about every 7 to 10 days. Here are more specific instructions on how I grow peppers vertically: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/odmTbLinsqjbXWg.html
