I believe that you get a lot of upright bass for your money, considering any traditional upright bass costing less than £700 tends to be unplayable if you don't spend another £1000 to your local Luthier to sort it out!!

compared to NSdesigns upright bass, the Stagg is physically much harder to play. Maybe it is because the NSDesigns bass comes installed with low tension strings. Not sure if the Stagg has high or low tension strings
