Develop the product further to where there is an equal amount of negative resistance in correspondence to the pulling/pressing weight and I'll buy 2!

They need to ad another loop for resistance. So close but man I hope they math it out.

Would love to hear about the longevity in a commercial setting. If the system lasts for commercial setting it would do well in a residential non commercial home gym.

Hi. We have been developing and testing the MAXPRO for 4 years now in laboratory and real world conditions. However, because it is a new product that is just getting into the hands of trainers and gyms, we will be watching closely any issues that may occur. We also have a one year full warranty to assure that we will stand behind every MAXPRO. Please reach out if you have any other questions!

I'm a fan of your product! I was wondering about the whole "negative resistance" aspect. Does the cable system maintain load on the rep when returning to a starting position?
@MAXPRODetroit4 жыл бұрын
Awesome, thanks for your comment. Using the MAXPRO provides a concentric biased resistance (CBR) profile. Concentric training is actually very healthy, and much safer than traditional weight lifting, especially as it pertains to joint safety. In terms of strength and toning. Concentric training has been proven to effective in building muscle, toning, and strengthening. Please see our faq page on our website here for links to scientific papers on concentric training. Unfortunately it seems that it doesn’t offer negative resistance. I literally had one in the shopping cart and then found this out and had to cancel. Hoping for a revision or another product which offers eccentric/negative resistance.

Could probably add a third leg in order to have some flexibility on where you could place the device under the weight bench

I love it but since this is a first-generation so I'm going to wait it out for them to improve it. I want negative resistance when I'm unloading.

How much weight would i need to place on the maxpro if i was to use a outside bench to work out with. As you know gym benches are out the equation for now. I have a 20kg vest, would that be enough weight to keep it down?
@MAXPRODetroit4 жыл бұрын
200beauty the bench is intended to be used with the user’s body as a counterweight to any resistance movements being performed by the user. So it does not require additional weight.

I’m wondering how durable this is? Repetitive pulls on a spool mechanism, specially on the higher weight loads. Looking to replace my Tower 200, which has served me very well over the years.
@MAXPRODetroit4 жыл бұрын
Lester it's a good question and an important one.. We use Kevlar cords that hold 5x the max working load on each side. The actual MAXPRO is made of aerospace grade aluminum and plastics parts are high impact PC-ABS.. so the machine is quite durable, and is ready to use right out of the box. The only wear item it the cord and we anticipate during higher than average use (6 hours a day x 5 days a week at 100lbs) it should last about 1 year and 3 months. We will sell replacement spool cartridges that the user can replace themselves. Other than that the MAXPRO is basically maintenance free. Hope this helps. Thank you!

That sounds good. I checked out the website and saw that there is $100 difference between the connected vs the non connected version. I was hoping to see what the App actually provides, or what the advantage of the Bluetooth version is? Thanks

does the "dial in" resistance weight exactly match the the weight of dumbells? does the resistance clutch wear out with use? does it provide the same resistance going up and going down, the positive and the negative?

I heard there's no resistance on the negatives (i.e., the eccentric portion of the movement). Is that true? How does that work?

I would be interested in the answer as well in case!
@MAXPRODetroit4 жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct. MAXPRO has up to 300lbs of adjustable resistance on the pull or concentric movement only with light resistance (10lbs) on the return or eccentric. If your question is more geared to the ability of MAXPRO to strengthen and build muscle, then you can reference the links we have, in our FAQ section of our website, to the scientific papers regarding the benefits of concentric resistance on muscle growth. The link is here: maxprofitness.com/pages/faq. Thank you!

@@MAXPRODetroit was this purposely designed for safety reasons? To minimize accidently loss of control?
@twnyc31294 жыл бұрын
I want to buy this specifically just for the flye exercise in the beginning. If I am on my bench lying on it on top of the max pro, and I weigh 175 (less if it’s just the head part), and I want to pull all 300 pounds of resistance, wouldn’t the machine come flying up? I know you are not using that much resistance in the review. But if you did, would the machine pull up off Th e floor? Thank you.
@project-moe4 жыл бұрын
That's not how physics works, if you're pushing up 300lbs of force, your body is pushing back 300lbs on the ground, your weight is a completely separate force
@MAXPRODetroit4 жыл бұрын
Moe is correct. The force you exert is translated through your body to the bench which is holding down the MAXPRO.
@twnyc31294 жыл бұрын
Moe Hussein what about if I mount it on the wall and want to do flyes with the 300 pound setting? Wouldn’t the wall mount eventually come flying off? I already ordered the product, I’m just wondering things right now.
@MAXPRODetroit4 жыл бұрын
Twnyc you definitely need to be sure of the strength of your supporting wall, but it’s actually difficult to do all 300 lbs while standing, unless you apply counterforce with your back towards the track/wall. You can see in this channel a video of how the track is installed to get a sense of the strength of the track

Without the bench or door/wall mounts, are there exercises for the chest?
@MAXPRODetroit4 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven. You can do a military press overhead that works the shoulders and upper pectoral muscles while standing, as well as, a low and wide chest fly raise to center of chest position for the lower pectorals. If you are in a place where you can lay down on the MAXPRO (with the MAXPRO on the ground), then you can do decline and a limited movement straight press. Thank you!

how much weight do you need to put on this system to keep it stable? I see this trainer sometimes has just one foot on it and seems fine. Any built in measures to keep this from flying back at the user?
@MAXPRODetroit4 жыл бұрын
Hi Johnson, great question! When MAXPRO is used on the floor, you always need to have a foot close to the side you are pulling from. It's rare to slip, but if you do, you would just be picking up the maxpro. it would not fly upward because the cord is not under elastic tension like a workout band. Many exercises however are done using the wall track system or the door mounting system which are very secure and the MAXPRO is locked in. Do you get negative resistance? Does it only resist you on the concentric phase of the rep or does it pull back on the negative?
