There better have been some filing false report charges coming down the pipe. What she did was despicable and a crime. She damaged her kids, not Dad. She forced them into multiple forensic and physical evaluations, and her attorney has put nekked pictures of the children into a court hearing, and currently fighting a disqualification hearing. I have a family member who's done this in the past and continues to do this to this very day, even though the claims have debunked for decades. They also target family members who do not believe the stories that have been told. If that person has children, they (the parents) have been reported to cps for child abuse, neglect, etc. If they don't have children, the target becomes the husband. That he is somehow complicit in helping the abuser. Even though the claims of abuse happened over 40 years ago. There have been calls to employers, friends, and their family members claiming they are covering up the abuse. It's insane that people are allowing to make such outrageous claims after knowing they are false! It should be punishable! This mother will one day have to explain to her children why she put them through all of this! It's heartbreaking for those children

No self-respecting attorney would represent her. It's professional misconduct to help a client advance claims that the attorney knows to be false. Especially in a family law setting where the false claims are causing real harm to children.

Don't beat yourself up. As a child who's father fought hard for me while I was being abused by my "stepfather" I'll tell you that the fact that you fought and validated what they were going through means A LOT! I was painted to be a lying out of control teen that got my bruises for "writing checks my a** couldn't cash at school". They always sent me back. I would get a few months of peace when my dad would decide not to send me back after his scheduled visitation. Then the hearing would come and I'd be back in hell every other week until the next unhealed bruising. My dad tried everything down to cutting the sole out of the inside of my shoes to hide paper so that I could document times and dates in detail. Unfortunately my mom washed my shoes and found the paper after I had been documenting "their business" and I can still remember the "whooping" that I got. My father was my safe place. My peace and where I was allowed to be a normal kid. I'll never forget that.

In florida, when I was adopting my sisters, the GAL was either pro bono (as in our case) or paid for by the taxpayers. That was early 2000's so it may have changed. In my view a GAL should be provided no matter what. It's one of the few things government gets right, every child needs a voice in court cases.
