Oh my lord this is heartbreaking. I’m listening to this while running errands with my mother and she said “I think Cheere had a lot of sympathy for Brittany” and I think your sympathy is VERY apparent. I think your coverage of this book has been just *chef’s kiss*

I was Britney, in that I also was everyones doormat. I allowed it until my 50th year, when I discovered what boundaries were. BIG ones. I will never, ever be in a co dependent situation again. 😊 I am no one's doormat. My circle has gotten A LOT smaller, but I'm so much happier now, in my 60th year.

Same here too, y'all! I used to be such a people-pleaser. It is literally insane, looking back, how giving and forgiving and allowing I was. When I turned 50 about 18 months ago, something shifted. I drew the curtains and locked the doors so to speak. Big, huge, enormous boundaries emerged that I never had before -- that no one ever taught me to have. Welp, I have them now, by the grace of God and menopuase! The me I am now, would NEVER take one-one-thousandths of the crap I endured in the past. It's a bummer in one sense, because I am divorced and I can't imagine ever falling in love again. In another way it's been so liberating and empowering!

Merry Christmas to you, your family, and each who gathers here to hear your review. It’s a treat! I have so much sympathy for this poor naive, child like woman. She has been so badly used by so many people but still looks for good in people. Much of her career seems based on much that seems like child porn and. Fantasies of child porn. It’s pervasive in our popular culture and to me, needs to be recognized for just what it is. It’s destructive to girls. Love your comments!

The abortion pill is violence against women. My dear friend went through that. How dare they send a woman or teenager home to go through that alone! Imagine if we showed the proper outrage in defense if women's dignity the way people were willing for these ridiculous causes that helped tear down this country... Society is blind.

This is a very interesting, and seemingly _honest_ book. lt is nothing like ''Worthy'', or Spare. l was never a huge Britney fan, or follower but was there when all this happened. This chapter really pulled at my heart. l feel genuine empathy for Britney , as l know some of the things she is going through. Being alone with NO shepherding, mentoring, without being discipled. Having mental health issues but not really knowing it, not dealing with _extremely important_ trauma: like the abortion, and Justin's cruelty. l pray that Britney will be found by Christ, and know she has eternal life, and l pray that the realization would so turn her sadness into JOY, and Gladness! MERRY CHRISTMAS Everybody! :D

The sad part is that Britney actually needed a conservator. A carer, someone who could take care of her. Instead, her dad abused this power and stripped her of whatever self worth was left after everyone tore her to pieces. And you can see it now, she is definitely not doing very well on her own. My heart hurts for her, she was only seen as a cash cow and a sex symbol and was never given the chance to be more than that. She still doesn’t know who she is nor does she have a grip on reality today, she is stuck in her head thinking the same as she did in her youth

I really feel for Britney. She was exploited, enslaved and tortured -- Of COURSE she has mental illness! Everyone needs to respect her strength for still even being alive. I just wish she would stop re-exploiting herself on Instagram. Everyone just gawks and laughs. I feel like she doesn't even have any friends. It's awful.

It’s just so heartbreaking how lost Britney has been her whole life. It’s ridiculous that Jada kept going on about being unworthy, Jada is a spoiled woman, while Britney has actually been treated unworthy her whole life by the people who are ment to love her most in her life. Britney you are worthy sweetheart, I just want to hug her, the little list girl in her. Yes, she is a women now, a mother, however, she has never felt true love. Shame on you Mr and Mrs Spears, you failed your beautiful daughter 😢 You are loved Britney, you are enough ❤

You have a Merry Christmas Cheere Denise. Thanks for the book readings and commentaries and all the work it takes to make a video. The saddest part so far is Brittany and the abortion. It is so sad the Brittany did not have a real Christian adult in her life, starting when she was very young.
@dianeshelton9592

Are you assuming only a Christian could have helped Brittany ? Because you are very wrong. What a shame Brittany didn’t have an adult to care about her.
@patriciasaienni7417
@patriciasaienni7417 7 ай бұрын
Well, look at the results of the lack of any real Christian adults in her life thus far. The fact that she's been advised and influenced by nothing but non Christian adults around her and it's indisputable that it's led her down a path of suffering, misery, heartache, and regret. So, the non Christian adults have failed her miserably. Why would YOU assume that a real Christian adult wouldn't be exactly the help that she needed most? Real Christians prioritize the Word of God first and foremost and would give guidance to Britney according to what is best for Britney. Real Christians answer to God for their actions, not to some Sleazeball corporations who are out to exploit this child so THEY can all get rich by working that child to death, and sexualizing a 15 year old girl for their profit. A real Christian adult would have never stood by while she lay on her bathroom floor in excruciating pain throughout a traumatizing abortion while her selfish narcissistic abusive boyfriend played with his guitar! My impression is that you have misunderstood the motives of true Christianity. For those who love God, the Father, Son & Holy Spirit, it's always about doing what's in the best interest of others. Britney was surrounded by adults who had their own interests in mind, certainly not hers. I hope that helps you with a better understanding of the love that Christians have for others, especially those who are vulnerable. ❤ Merry Christmas to everyone watching!

I am loving this episode. I feel for Brittany. Your comments are so spot on about her naivete and how women's beauty affects men... No one told me that when I was younger and now I try to tell my teenage girls something about this. You're giving me some words for this. Men are disarmed by women's beauty and women can be disarmed by men's reactions to them. Your commentary is entertaining and enlightening. I'm so glad you're able to do this with all you have going on. Hope you and everyone on here have a very merry Christmas and that 2024 is blessed.

Why am I asking myself if this amount of introspection could really be coming from Brittany, as opposed to another person; say, a "ghostwriter"? I don't know what writing a book is all about, but this seems very well put together. I guess I'm just used to seeing "articles" about this woman in the Daily Mail, looking manic and disheveled, as she poses for what are meant to be provocative pictures and/or dancing in her home. There's an awful lot of unexpected lucidity here. I hope you have a beautiful Christmas.

Thank you so much for your words of wisdom regarding terminating the life of an unborn person. It's disturbing how hard certain groups of people work to make it seem normal, simple, no big deal, like getting a tooth pulled. Inconvenient to be pregnant, the consequences of having sex which you chose to do with someone you weren't planning on having children with, or at least not now because you've got that vacation planned or a semester left in school or just got that job you wanted? Just get the procedure! It means nothing, it's just a heavy period! It's not a *real* person, just an inconvenience. And no matter how hard they try to believe this, they never forget. It pops up years later with a passing unexpected thought of "she would be starting kindergarten this year" or "i might have been signing him up for soccer". I wonder what she would have looked like? Would he have had his father's nose? Etc etc etc. Because each time it's a real human being. One you would have loved just as much as you love your living children now. That hole is never filled. That nagging feeling of "someone is missing" never goes away, no matter how hard you try to silence it with substances, relationships, more degrees, more money, more accomplishments. It's devastating that we as a society aren't even honest about what's happening. If it doesn't matter & it's just a blob of nothing, why are they pushing so hard to keep women from hearing both sides, considering all options?

Cheere, what an amazing episode! The way you put everything that is read into perspective with much needed logic to it all. Britney needed someone in her life just like you to educate her, enlighten her, and give affirmations that she is enough, but unfortunately, she had no one that kept her from spiraling. thank you for reading between the lines. I can only hope that Britney watches this to understand that, although you point out things with true honesty, it's not done with malice but to educate on where and how things went wrong. I was never a fan of Britney's music, I'm just enough older than her it wasn't what I listened to. I remember seeing her everywhere though, but she didn't bug me the same way some celebrities do. It's as you said she never had that diva like personality she always came across so immature to me. I feel bad for her, she is the result of having absolutely terrible parenting. The way so many people took advantage of her, used her for their own wealth is just disgusting. These people do not care what happens to someone like Britney. She obviously had mental issues and they just kept using her. I remember watching Britney going through her mental break and being so angry at people for not helping her. She was clearly mentally ill, and people just kept going after her. She's had a very sad life, and all on display. So many people failed her.

Excellent perspective on the parenting skills of this girl Britney Spears and I look at that is almost child. Abuse, it is child abuse. My daughter always wanted to be a singer but when she was 15 she was so shy she just couldn’t do it and then when she was 17 she was in this play and she got a standing ovation and she felt sick to her stomach for two weeks and look at what that girl has gone through and and the terrible guidance and the way you shared your perspective, your ethics and values I’ve never been in a book club and I used to be a part of Oprah’s book club back in the day which to me now is just not acceptable. I’ll just leave it at that. Really looking forward to chapter 3.

Speaking of males being attracted to her sexuality - fun story. When her first hit came out I was nannying on the side while getting my second degree as a mature age student in my 40s, trying to pay for it. I cared for mainly doctors and psychiatrists kids probably because of my background as a paediatric nurse and mother of 4. One of my first charges who I started to care for at 6 weeks old I called Baby Tim. He would have sat in front of the TV watching Brittany perform that damn song all day if he could. He was in nappies and absolutely entranced by her. My subconscious has saved me from remembering the name of the song.

I’ve heard many actresses and actors state they became and lived their character. I don’t think that is so uncommon. It is uncommon when the movie is over ,done and released and still can not let go. Poor girl did not seem to be aware of her true self , always searching. I know I started to really step into my own late 20’s to mid 30’s. Perhaps there was something inside her that longed to be that young innocent girl, someone different than who she was. I give her alot of credit . Her hindsight for self seems accurate. She seems to be as honest as she’s capable. I find it concerning how she does not recognize the sexualization of herself as a young girl BECAUSE SHE WAS A VERY YOUNG GIRL. That’s the sickness of Hollywood and the influence. Britney Spears is not the first nor Last . I REMEBER when her video came out of her in the school girl outfit . My jaw dropped to see such a young girl dress in a manner that is many men’s sexual Fantasy, the school girl costume. As a parent of 3 daughters I WOULD NOT HAVE ALLOWED THAT

❤cheere how are you my dear ??? It’s Gerri,I am unaware if you recall my message too you in references to 1 ) “ how I adore you as a person 2) how my daughter “ niggled “ me ( ❤) to watch your channel. Myself with no regard too KZfaq , no real regard for “ this new era”. Since watching , listening too your 📕 club. ( a sidenote I am now able to use emoticons.) the one thing that strikes me are not only the books that you read and how well you read and how you use your personality and your own morals, ethics beliefs, and I am a mother I am 74. I had Lasha at 21 and back then and I know you understand this even though you’re younger than myself I know that you respect people that have lived longer than you, I just want you to know I absolutely love this book Britney I remember Lasha dancing to this all the time all the time even at her age she would do her ballet and her dancing until that doctor came into our lives. However; since watching you, I’ve come to, except the situation in which we live, and, you’re a very inspirational young woman. I’ve learned so much about Britney Spears by listening to your book reading club and I subscribed and I did my daughter said to me she won’t take super thanks and I didn’t know what that was so then she showed me all of the channels that she’s subscribed to that she loves, and explained what it is, and she rarely rarely does it, or I would be very very mad, however; what can I do to help support you during Christmas and I used to think to be honest with you that Britney Spears this is my “”just absolute nonsense” and you put a real reality to these people that you think are out of reach, but there are no different than you were I you’re an excellent role model for younger people and people of my age so God bless you and have a wonderful wonderful Christmas with you and your family With respect GERRI

I've changed my opinion of Justin now. Before when everyone in the media, etc, were going on about Justin's behaviour, I was thinking, is he worse than her parents, her husband's. They've known each other since kids, he's young, and has a career to think of too. But hearing it now, he should have treated her better, because if their history from childhood. He just used her for his own gain. Hope he's reached out, and apologised after this.

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I am really enjoying this book, I am tempted to buy it, never been that interested in Britney, I'm a bit old, but she seems so honest but naive, I feel like she needs scooping up and properly mothered and looked after. I think Britney is too trusting, having had an interesting childhood, and depression all my life, you get emotionally muddled, getting physical means someone loves you, you try to please everyone, though it's never enough. If I had then grown up with Britney's career as well I probably would have ended up in a similar mess to Britney. She needed guidance but everyone used her, her family used her, she was their cash cow, she needed guidance and someone on her side, the conservatorship was not to help her but help themselves. When she started the record company did not have to push her as so sexy, they could have toned down her costumes, she was 15/16 she was doing what they wanted her to do. Her fans were teenage girls but the record company wanted boys as well and to get teenage boys its sex that sells. to the record company make as much money out her possible , probably thought she would only last a couple of years, it was maximize her profits for them, she needed a grown up to be on her side, was giving her anti- depressants another way of controlling a naive teenager. It took to my forties to sort my head out and I never went through what Britney did, unfortunately the mental health rubbish never goes away, you just learn to handle it better, and recognise the signs ( most the time ) things are going wrong.

I’m feeling on point regarding how badly Britney was used and abused by many. It’s no wonder she lost control on occasion! I’ve always admired her and felt sorry for her all at the same time.

I've seen several interviews with Britney's personal assistant Felicia & keeping her on for so long in that capacity was Britney's biggest mistake. (Imo) Felicia was simply a family friend. She had absolutely no experience of any kind with anything. To Felicia, everything was just a lot of fun & whatever Britney said & did was fine by her. I'm actually amazed that Britney handled her fame as well as she did. She really was navigating it all by herself.

I had a coworker who took the abortion pill and she literally never got over it. I really think she had PTSD from it.

I used to tell people if it was written on the back of a toilet door it had more substance than anything i was told. I was mauled and pawed groped as a teen 12, 13 and all i got was im a slut from a sister and as much as i put that out of my mind during my drunken youth she never stopped with her venemous tongue. At 73 ive cut all ties but having a child alone was sisters prize and i wouldn't let her have her tooo taint with vicious words she tried! I can see Brittany's dilemma and the absolute immaturity and greed, possessivness of her family and didn't they milk that! Dear Brittany im amazed you survived as well as you did.

The only thing I disagree with the general opinion on, is the pregnancy. Money isn’t enough to want a pregnancy. It’s not the only thing that prepares you for it. Tons of money do not qualify anyone as a good parent. I think it can be dangerous to think that if you have lots of money it’s ok to be a young parent even though you don’t want to. Justin clearly was not mentally prepared for a kid. It takes two people to make a baby. If one doesn’t want it, the other shouldn’t be forcing it upon them. I don’t understand why everyone is judging Justin so much for not wanting to be a dad at 19. And as everyone clearly sees in this book, Britney was also not fit to be a parent at that age. I think it was for the best. The way it happened, indeed, was supposed to be different and medically supervised correctly.

The baby shouldn’t pay the price for grown people blowing past the consequence of sex. If Justin didn’t want to be a dad, he should have made sure that wasn’t going to happen. And if he didn’t want to raise the child, why is his opinion worth more than hers? She DID want the baby. And I stand behind what I said: money is the main reason people feel ill equipped. If you don’t know how to parent, you have 9 months to learn. There’s nothing else in life where people cheer you for shrugging off your duties. It’s wild to me that the most important thing on earth, raising your own babies, is where people give a pass for running from responsibility.

A baby should also not pay the price for the recklessness of their parents and live a life of feeling unwanted, being abandoned or passed over to other adults. I still think not everyone should have a baby just because they have money. Especially people who don’t want to. It should be a mutual decision based on love, not forced upon one of the parties. Young age is also a reason people feel ill equipped to have a kid, otherwise all rich teens would have babies and thank God it’s not the case 😅 their brain is not even fully developed at 19, and Britney later proved that she cannot raise her children. She is too mentally unstable and seems that she always was, as much as my heart hurts for her, young fame took a huge toll on her mental stability. Also, If Justin wanted the baby and Britney said no, no one would force her to keep it and no one would decimate her as they are doing with Justin now. Anyway, I understand you are pro-life and I respect that, and since I am pro-choice we probably won’t be reaching a mutual conclusion anytime soon😅 I still love your content tho and can’t wait to watch the next chapters ✌️☺️

Wow. Bless Britney’s heart, praying for her and her kids. Blessings to you and your family as well. What kind of man writes sexually suggestive songs for teenage girls to sing? A perv does.

I always saw Brittany as a dirty old man's dream. I thought that was a large part of her viewing audience. Brittany was a good performer, but I couldn't help not notice how her backup singers were a bit louder than her and that she would get winded singing and dancing across a stage. I defiantly thought she was far too young to be such a provocative and sexual performer. I also understood why she went through the mental struggles she experienced. I hope that her life finds the peace and security she deserves.

Look into Mk ultra & the industry knows how to pick ones who have trauma from childhood & w/ mk uktra the brain becomes compartmentalized which explains the different personalities. She was more prone to bipolar genetically but the ones who control the industry make too much money off Britney. It’s sad & I truly feel for Britney she has been abused on many levels like many other childhood stars 😢
