I live in southern Louisiana and I know someone who grew up across the street from Brittney and from the beginning it was obvious the family was using her as a meal ticket with zero regard for B as a human being. Not a single family member ever put Brittney first and I believe that’s why B can’t see her own worth.

I can’t believe Britney would actual take time out to write people thank you notes. That just speaks to how incredibly sweet she is as a person. It’s refreshing considering how entitled and foolish a lot of the celebrities behave.

I think handwritten thank you notes are a lost art. I was always taught by my mother to send thank you notes as a sign of appreciation, and it only takes a brief moment and a postage stamp. I also think it is much more personal than a text message, especially if you select a beautiful notecard to express your sentiments.

Diana Sawyer is an awful human being. I recently saw a documentary on Whitney Huston and Diane Sawyer was invasive- insensitive- judgemental…. It was awful watching that interview
@lisalivingston6473
@lisalivingston6473 6 ай бұрын
I hadn't seen this interview, but after watching Cheere Denise's video, I went back and watched the Diane Sawyer interview with Britney, who was 21 years-old at that time. It is posted on KZfaq for all to see. In my opinion, Diane Sawyer was simply doing her job as a journalist and interviewer. I thought Britney held her own, especially when Diane confronted her about her scantily clad photos and stage attire. Britney offered examples of other celebrities photographed for magazine covers in little or no clothing, i.e. Kate Hudson, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera which were shown during the interview to illustrate her point and which she thought were beautiful. When pressed by Diane on whether she thinks she is a good role model for young girls, Britney said that parents should monitor what their children are exposed to. She felt no responsibility to be a role model except to her little sister, Jamie Lynn. You could feel Britney's raw pain when the subject of Justin Timberlake was discussed. She said their break-up was mutual with blame on both sides, but she did not elaborate further. We now know her side of that story documented in her memoir. Overall, I thought it was a good interview, especially considering how young Britney was at the time being interviewed by such a seasoned, veteran journalist. It's worth viewing if you have 45 minutes to spare.

I can understand how she never felt comfortable spending money on her needs and some wants. My father was a depression baby and grew up very poor. He paid his own way through college with multiple jobs. He provided for his family but never felt comfortable spending money on himself. He was a proud former Marine and really wanted a Marine Corps ring for years until my mother was able to convince him to buy it.

I cannot stand Kevin Federline simply because he has raised all of his babies with Britney's hard earned money..He was in on tricking her to go along with the conservatorship because he knew what was going to go down..He actually had the nerve to ask for more child support as if he couldn't take care of 2 boys on 20 grand a month..😮..I will admit that I laughed out loud when I read that their oldest son became of legal age and that the other will do the.same this upcoming year..Kevin was desperate when he was dropping hints how he was gonna move the family to Hawaii because there is a law that would allow him to continue to take from Britney something like 3 more years..Thank God the Judge said no and that was a no Go..Kevin is one of the most ungrateful users I have heard of because when he met Brit he was living in a rusted out 1970s pick-up truck..It doesn't occur to him to thank her all he has ever done is use and abuse her..I cannot wait until he has to pay for his multimillion dollar mansion upkeep that he always brags about because the one thing we all know is that Kevin Federline would still be sleeping in his truck or just getting by while working off and on at McDonald's if he hadn't hit the lottery meeting Britney..Rant over

I think she just sounds incredibly lonely or maybe just too alone. Didn't have anyone around her to say hey, you could easily afford to hire this person or that, a manager but one with her best interests at heart. I believe truly that, coming from the life she did, it probably didn't even cross her mind on her own. It's not unheard of with people coming from very little to be completey lost if coming into money beyond their dreams. Poor Britney xx

And ya know, that outfit wasn't all that revealing. Her stomach was exposed, but it wasn't any worse than the bathing suits of the time. My daughter was in elementary school when the video came out, so I made sure to watch it several times first. Britney captivated me immediately. She had such presence & was such a strong dancer...and that voice! I couldn't really understand the media's focus on her "sexy." Good Lord, my own daughter's ballet costumes were skimpier than that!

I have to tell you that near the end, when your kids came inside & started doing kid things, I seriously got that little twinge in my gut and got ready to yell upstairs "what are you guys doing? Did you bring home a heard of tiny horses with you?!" 😂. But then I remembered my kids are all grown up & it's just my husband & I in a small one story rental in a state hundreds of miles away from them 🥺 I was one of those weird moms who loved having them all home, thumping, yelling, making messes, fighting - the chaos was beautiful music to my ears and I miss it so. ❤

I am 68 years old and still remember as a child of a single mother, money was very tight. I did not really know how to shop for clothes when I left home. I asked friends for hand-me-downs at one point. When I was 50 I remember shopping at “Filenes Basement” for business casual jackets on sale. I made do and shopped at used clothing stores, I loved hand-me-downs, I sewed or altered my clothes as much as possible. I still buy 2nd hand jeans and sew my own tops or buy inexpensive tops from Costco. So, I can relate to Britney always referring to herself as this little innocent child, vulnerable, and bullied.

I just want to say, it breaks my heart to hear how Brittany doubted her own God given senses- it seems she had no one to water those seeds, so she looked at what others were doing and began to mimic. If I can minister one thing to my daughters and youngsters is that if your Spirit- your soul tells you to be kind in a situation (to write a thank you card)- whatever it might be- listen to yourself! To think she suppressed her feelings to follow Madonnas lead- sincerely makes me want to cry.

She wouldn’t get away with it now. It was posted on KZfaq 2 years ago and all the commenter were also disgusted. Brittany, as we now know, handled it like a pro because she had to. Interestingly I’m watching a documentary series called “The Dark Side of the 2000s” and the last episode was about these young Hollywood girls/stars - Brittany, the Hilton sisters, Nicole Ritchie, Tara Reed gives some commentary but the main protagonist of this episode is Lindsey Lohan. They were all behaving badly and also being treated badly by the press.

I love the perspective you bring to this book. I basically devoured it and didn't analyse it in as deep detail as you did, so I never noticed this tendency of hers to act like a little innocent girl. I think it's a form of arrested development or emotional immaturity, like she was stuck at a certain age emotionally. A definite sign of trauma. I also feel like there's a LOT she didn't say, there seemed to be a lot of gaps in her book, like she deliberately kept things out.

The Sawyer interview was wild. She should have kicked that woman out of her house. Also I see the Madonna story as Britney both admiring and throwing shade. It speaks to Britney’s professionalism that she would never hold up production just because of she could. At the same time, she probably respects that Madonna could just hold up production and make everyone bend to her will.

Just a thought about Las Vegas. I was very innocent at 24, even if I left my family in another country to start a new life in the UK. I think at that age, it's the last hurrah for stupidity before you have to really commit to adulthood. Also, Britney's state of mind is like a mental puree, so she'd be more likely to engage in very dangerous behaviour to get the endorphines her brain craves.

The piece that’s missing, that would explain a lot of things and connect the dots is her substance abuse problems. She was obviously an addict and probably an alcoholic. Which would explain a lot of the things that don’t quite make sense with the excuses and saying she was “innocent and didn’t know any better”. Maybe she’s just not ready to get into all of that. Or, maybe she still doesn’t think she has a problem. Either way, it’s really unfortunate. A lot can be said for someone who admits a struggle like that and takes accountability for their actions. I know all about that first hand because I am a recovering addict, and trust me, It takes one to know one. IYKYK. I see so many things that would make complete sense and really bring her story full circle, if that was the narrative that she wanted to tell.

By the way, if you can find the Chaotic docuseries, I highly suggest you watch it. This came out when I was in college and it was a source of INTENSE mirth for me and my friends. I’m talking the kind of laughter where you legitimately end up screaming and punchy because it’s just so freaking hilarious and pathetic and yet they take themselves SO seriously. It’s art I tell you, art. 😆

I hope this sweet woman finds peace in her life. As always, love this review. Never had any interest in Britney but you choose your subjects really well. So far it's been only Jada I couldn't cope with. Didn't have enough puke buckets in the house.😅 I was thinking about this... I listened to the horror Markle tales and thought, well yeah she is vile, but we all had a small degree of some of her emotions, jealousy, envy, greed and even duplicitousness, going out with unsuitable clothes on😅.. and she is such a twit it was funny. Jada has nothing anyone can identify with and she was so proud of who she is. Ghastly. At least if meghan tried to gaslight me I can imagine liking her for about 5 hours😅😅😅

It’s strange because I can see some of myself in her. There were some chords struck! I grew up this innocent, naive, and only thought good was what I’d experience, because I was kind and compassionate, shy and thoughtful. Then someone laughed and laughed and life happened(I’m also from Louisiana. Is it our curriculum in schools?). 😂 I don’t know if I ever heard the word f*ck until high school. I had good teacher parents, we are practicing Catholics, we camped-we were wholesome boring! I have wonderful parents that could not have gotten me ready for the world that was forming. My boys aren’t as naive as I was at their ages. I was sheltered and kept from a lot. Some worldly things, couldn’t be taught to me by my parents because they didn’t participate in bad things. I just feel for Britney. In the south we say people are sweet, but she really seems to be! Did you hear her say please to the paparazzi? How refreshing not to just clap back with obscenities or rage. It sounds childlike, but it is still more mature than Harry and Meghan’s response…if this would indeed have ever happened to them!

I just feel so bad for her that her childhood was so chaotic and she had no life skills at all to cope with normal situations never mind fame. I did wonder if Jamie Lynne was maybe Britney’s child and that the family had covered it up, but I just think it was the neglectful upbringing after reading the book. Poor child but she’s grown now and has the resources to get proper help. I really hope she does ❤

Its sad because it seems she's as emotionally detatched from herself as her parents were towards her. I don't know the inside of anyones heart. But it seems her experience with her parents felt unloved. She didn't internalize her success and hard work. And that selfish nature she attracts over and over again

I think she is still a little girl, because its how she has been treated all her life, pushed to grow up in some directions but still stuck in her early and mid teens in others, the family treated her as the cash cow and kept her down so they could take advantage of her, the press treated her appallingly, she is nieve and easily bullied. Being made to have an abortion probably stunted her, she has probably carried that guilt ever since, that must have badly affected her mental health, ( had a friend that had an abortion, many years later after her marriage and 2 children she had a breakdown, she had a family that would have supported her and even though her and the father of the child wanted her to keep it and would have supported her and the baby she still went ahead with the abortion ) I think her husband was setting her up, divorce, get the kids and gobble up Britney's money ( collusion between him & her father ) he seems to have done a number on the boys who want nothing to do with their mother but certainly want the money she works hard to earn for them to sit on their backsides and criticise.

If I actually believe in what I SAY I believe in, wouldn’t you be more offended by me keeping it to myself? It doesn't surprise me that Britney didn't employ a personal hairdresser. She has beautiful hair that doesn't seem to need anything more than a few strokes of a hairbrush. I don't remember her dying her hair black, but it seems like maybe a desperate attempt at a disguise after seeing that clip of the paparazzi chasing her down in the street. Thank goodness her baby wasn't injured when his poor little neck snapped back when she lost her footing. Britney should expect photographers to show an interest in her as an entertainer, but I feel badly for children who are exposed to that type of treatment that can be quite scary for a little one. Maybe she should have invested in better security that could have escorted her more under the radar, especially when she had her babies in tow. Thanks for another interesting episode, Cheere Denise. I wish you and your family a very Happy New Year! 🎉🥂

Another excellent review :) Now down to what I think, did Britney write this herself, or another form of ghost writer, I just wonder at that. There's a lot of REFLECTION and it is at this point all I see is a nicer version of Jada. The ability of women to try and rewrite their promiscuous past seem to be coming thick and fast these days and it comes in many shapes and forms. Some are very successful you can rewrite it to some degree but you'll never erase it. It seems the price to pay for innate ability and success is very high.

About what you mention numerous times that Britney seems to perceive herself as not a woman but still a girl, a child. It’s a common phenomena with young stars who grew up in an unhealthy environment without grounded role models. They tend to be frozen in time in the moment the fame hit them. Thus even if Britney could potentially hold a great power, being the superstar and only provider to the family, she seems still stuck in her 15-old self who still craves for care and attention. Even if maybe, just maybe, she’s starting to take matters into her own hands she is still 20+ years behind with growing up process.

Hi Cheere. I wanted to clear up the Kabbalah remark. I grew up in Houston a Baptist. I ‘be lived 30 years in LA. I’m an energy healer doing healings based on the teachings of the Kabbalah and the Sanskrit. Half the Rabbi’s in Los Angeles are Kabbalistic mystics. That’s a fact. The art is over a thousand years old and extremely powerful. I was born clairaudient. Clairsentient. It’s very real.

Let me clear up my remark for you: Kabbalah is a distraction and a confusion for those looking for the truth. The spiritual realm is very real but I would tread carefully within that realm. Many a demon has come cloaked as an Angel of light. If there is any part of you that has ever been scared of what you’re currently into, run my friend. Please do not stay doing things your soul is asking you to quit. I’m praying in the name of Jesus Christ for clarity and overwhelming love from Him to you! ♥️

@@cheeredenise I fully respect your faith and your experience of the quest for Truth. What struck me in your comment to the poster who happens to practice Kaballah, (obviously I don't even know how to spell it, so I'm not biased in its favour,) 😆 was the way you told that poster that their faith is a distraction to Truth. It seems weird to me when anyone disrespects someone else's journey. It's such a personal thing, and no one has a higher claim on the path to Truth than anyone else (in my opinion.) That said, I do want to add that I don't believe Madonna's "faith" is the real thing, and I agree with you wholeheartedly about Hollywood's "spirituality."
