That roof is a great ground plane for a 1/4 wave vertical

Interesting idea. I was thinking of disguising an antenna as a tree. Either paint it with camo, or like the sky or add fake leaves.

Yes you could do that , the reason I suggested this is because I've done it at my qth with a 20mtr quater wave and it was very effective. I like the idea of fake leaves that would be cool ! You could do a ground mounted vertical with fake branches 🤔 hummm! Anyway good luck with your new shed/shack mate. vk3ae

Congrats! Looks good. I did notice when you were panning around inside, that there appeared to be a section with light coming in where the back wall and roof area meet. I had something similar in my pole barn and , if it wasn't rain working its way in, its hornets , wasps or other critters. Make sure that seam is sealed well! Cheers! K9MFJ

Is it all built in metal? If so, you will have a perfect Faraday cage. If you just manage to route coaxial cable underneath the concrete floor...perfect for ham radio...can you imagine having all your coaxial cables running underneath the ground level inside pipes from the tower to the shack? Wowwww

Oh yah you are right. Does that mean it should have little noise as a Faraday cage? I don't know how I would add pipes to the concrete now. It kind of was just a pour everything all at once deal.

Core cut. Down and then from outside until you hit the down side. Make it just big enough to fit pvc with elbow. @@hamradiocq

@hamradiocq A friend of mine did that with chicken fence all around his radio shack. Guess what? The noise lowered down by a lot, he mentioned. You should have thought about a 4 inch pipe coming from the tower all the way to the outer side of the shack were you can install a copper plate to ground all outer coaxial shields with arrestors before cables get into your shack. Be aware of scorpions and others and prevent them from entering the pipe. ARRL books are a great source to guide you into that. Congratulations on your new ham radio shack.
