Always here for you, Matt! You are awesome! ( : You are the sweetest person I have ever known and only good things should come your way. You are always kind and respectful to everyone you meet and that is huge in today's society and something we need more if that's for sure! Thank you for all you do and I think reaching out to other resellers is a great idea for shop talk! We are all here too! ( : I know how it is to go from being in an office environment to home working. I started a successful licensed home child care when my girls were young and was in this business 4 over 11 years (I am back to babysitting again watching my grandchildren), and it was an extremely isolating job! ) : I didn't even get to get out and talk to vendors! I was getting very down. ) : Then I joined an association of day care providers in my town, met my best friend and our two day cares hung out every day together! Changed both our lives for the better! ( : When I moved, I started my own day care Association in my new town and it was extremely successful! I organized speakers to come in and teach the day care providers in my group about early children's education, offered cor and first aid training, and organized huge field trips and get togethers for us all to go on hay rides, visit museums, and just get together sans our day cares and shop talk! It was fantastic! Maybe you could start something like that, but on a much more casual basis, or as intense, educational as you wish. Different resellers could be your speakers, etc...it would be great! Ya know? How to navigate ebay's annoying sling practices would be a great topic, how to mix biz and family life, how people store their product, source their products, etc...it would be a great way for you all to get together and families can come to picnics together too! It would be great! Sorry so long, but hopefully this helps get the wheels cranking and moving to make your reselling life awesome Thanks sooo much for a you do for all of us too! You Rick!( :

Matt, your parting words moved me to tears almost. This is the 70 yr. old "grandma" from W. PA - Go Steelers - I am just about played out with re-selling. I am forcing myself to sell some stuff in anticipation of Christmas. I had to place everything out of my line of vision so I could take a break. Of course, I am lonely, live alone, and have no real incentive to sell anymore. Maybe if I reached out, like you stated, I would find some renewed energy. Thanks for your words and your reflections!

I was just telling my wife the other day that reselling gets lonely. The only thing I miss about working a regular job is having co-workers. I recently started talking to other resellers as well. It has made this journey a lot easier. You are not alone! Tons of us out here going through the same struggles day to day.

Thank you so much for sharing that at the end. Like others have echoed, it's a lonely journey for sure. I chose to leave my well paying job to resell after my 15 year long marriage imploded. Three kids relying solely on me due to my ex-husbands battle with addiction and mental health / unemployment, I desperately needed the flexibility of self-employment while still making ends meet on my own. It's been tough. I'm now 4 years in and I know I made the right choice for my kids, but the isolation has creeped in - especially during and after the effects of Covid. I need to figure this out.

Hi Matt, I found your channel last summer, it was the first reseller channel for me and I was hooked on the content. I binge watched most of your videos. You inspired me and my son to start reselling. I appreciate your calm, kind approach to all situations and have learned so much from you. I've always loved garage sales and thrifting and now I'm making money doing it! It's something my son and I do together, we love it and he's saving money to help with college expenses. I recently found your channel and it gave me that push of inspiration I needed to go out and find some stuff to resell. My first day I came across some old silver forks for $10 at my local thrift shop. I listed them & the same day I got an offer for $70. Ended up selling them for $90 the next day. Long story short, You inspired me to do something I've always found interesting. Can't wait to see how far I can take this. Thanks for the awesome content !!!!

I started reselling full time when Covid hit. I know how you’re feeling and I can say that I feel the same way. I’m a husband and a father. My family was involved in the beginning but have since lost interest. Because of that I have lost the drive I once had. At 43 I love doing this and in many aspects I have never been happier. However, I feel like I’m in a rut and at a point where I’m thinking I may have give it up. I can go on and on but don’t want to bore anyone. Moral of the story, thanks for sharing that Matt🤙🏻

Reaching out is really hard for some of us introverts! As a retired senior I struggle with it every day. But when I do people are always willing to be there. Yours was the first reselling channel I found and I love your calm manner. I do miss the “ got to be the first one there“ song. Maybe you can throw it in once in a while. 😁

I hear you Matt. Starting a part time reselling business myself. It's not easy - especially when you put so much into it and the sales are down. BUT I believe in it and I keep "thrifting" along. We are suppose to do what we enjoy and I do enjoy this so much. I believe in myself and my business and on the bad days I think about why I am doing this - because it's what I want to do!! We are going to have good days and bad days - but that's in any job. This is not a hobby (as some people have told me) but a chance to really try and do something good for myself and for my family! You have to keep believing in yourself!! Do what YOU want and what makes YOU happy!! Think of all your fellow resellers at all the thrift stores, flea markets, estate sales and garage sales and know that you are not alone. We are not competing against each other we are just trying to make a living in a unique way that some don't understand - but we do!! You got this! We got this!!

I suffer from depression, runs in the family, and am 59 with a bad heart, as well as damaged lungs due to Covid. And I have more health issues from weight, since I can't exert myself at all due to the lung damage. Also homeless, living out of my van since January. Not for lack of money, there is NOTHING to rent in New Hampshire, at least nothing that wouldn't suck my funds dry in only a few months (like a motel). No family, divorced years ago, no kids. Not close to my 2 siblings in the area, who have their own problems and aren't in any position to help me. My laptop and the internet are all I have. I still thrift and yard sale, it's all I have to do, other than just sit in my van and think about what a loser I am. Van is getting packed, though, hard to list and ship out of a van, but I do sometimes. Hoping to find a place SOMEWHERE, so I am driving out of NH in a week or so, going South to stay warm. Wish me luck, lol.

You're not alone. I've always been a solitary person & pretty ok with it, it's always been hard for me to find others to connect with..everyone is too serious and doesn't understand my sarcasm. The last part of this video hit me hard, I've been out of regular work for 2 1/2yr and haven't had anyone really to socialize with. Hate to admit it but it is starting to affect me mentally, not having someone close to talk & hang out with on a regular basis. I will continue to try and push myself out there and hopefully make a good friend connection :) - In the meantime I will continue to source, it's been pretty good lately...just gotta list...it's fun finding but listing is a bi&ch lol -- Sending good vibes your way!

Hi Matt u had me in tears because I've been a Sub for a long time & have never seen u like this I'm glad talking has helped u it helps me I loss my son August 9th 2020 to murder from a narcissistic woman who he only wanted to be friends with he was my only son 26 yrs old & my best friend & it helps me alot when I speak about him I have had so many days where I wanted to just give up but i say for him he wouldn't want that i also have 2 daughter's 5 grandkids & husband that would be selfish of me to give up also I have to fight at his trial coming up soon so Yes it does help to talk about things it helps so much sorry to throw this at u but just wanted to reach out to say talking about things does help hope u are feeling better 🙏😇🤩

You are the first re-seller who actually taught me something. I'm fortunate that I don't have to rely on re-selling, but do love the treasure hunt aspect and when that cha-ching goes off, the anticipation of finding out what sold!! I could not imagine trying to sell AND do all these videos, then editing etc. I've been with you for quite a few years and just want to say, "thank you."
