At lower rpm it sounds like a weird mix of a inline 5 and V6, but past 3k that V8 burble takes over though way different than any other V8

Going for 3 kilometres full throttle does that. When you drive it a lil bit more normally the fuel gets up again. Its the estimated km you can run before refueling depending on how you drive (aka your fuel consumtion ).

The reason for that is that the increments on the speedometer change after 100kmh

fuckin engineers made a w8 engine that has a big fuel drink and waste of money and no power at all, while a pd130 tdi has the same acceleration

I know your comment is over a year old but the W8 is way faster than a 1.9TDI with 130hp. When the W8 hits 200, the TDI is still at ~165 and when the TDI hits 200, the W8 is cruising at ~245 already. If you take the TDI with the tiptronic too, the difference is way bigger.

The engine is big but the power is only 275 hp, aka the power limit in Japan, even though many Japanese luxury cars have the same weight, the power is similar but the acceleration is much faster than this

ah yes the gentlemen's 276 agreement, where every sports car's power must be limited to 276hp the most adhered to rule in historHAHA as if... they said they were capped at 276 but most of if not all were actually pushing close to 300 if not more, its happened all the way through automotive history, still even today it happens.

Der Wagen ist aber von 2001, da ging ein 3.0 TDI nicht besser.

Wenigstens mal ein Spinner der nicht mit "my AVF goes 10 times faster" kommt. Es waren halt nur 370NM an ner 5 Stufen Wandler Automatik mit 1.9 Tonnen leer Gewicht. Was erwartet man den da bitte. Für die Zeit war das doch kein langsames Auto und ich finde den W8 ein tolles Auto. VW hat extra für diese Auto den Motor gebaut und wirklich nen Sportlichen Kombi hingestellt. Man darf nicht vergessen das da 20 Jahre dazwischen liegen. Und von einen Bekannten der BMK im 4F als Handschalter ist auch kein Schnelles Auto. Bitte wenn man schon völlig verschiedene Konzepte vergleichen muss wenistens aus der Gleichen Zeit.

aber keiner klingt so, und trägt so ein Gewicht mit sich. Außerdem hat der Passat keinen Turbo haha. Für das Alter geht er sehr gut da kann auch kein alter ungetunter Civic mithalten

There is something called BMW E39 540i 4.4l V8 with 286 hp which is older, faster, and more economic than this failure from VW group.

A friend of mine has an 1998 E38 740i which is a very reliable and powerful engine, it's even chip tuned from 286 hp now has something to 305 hp, it's a beast on the road. So take that bullshit back and cry at the corner.

@@tomtheraton3058 I don't know about you or what have you heard around, simple engine maintenance like oil and filters change and can prolong significantly the engine's life. Idk about u guys but seems like it's the owner's fault to say that M62B44 is a bad engine.
