@vivsleigh2054: It makes me so sad that people who lived 100 years ago are now dead. Like Vivien Leigh.

Like with the Oscars Joan went first. I’m sure they’re still bickering on the other side.

Joan Fontaine is a best actress oscar-winning actress for ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S SUSPICION (1941) and received other two actress best oscar nominations for REBECCA (1940) & CONSTANT NYMPH (1943).

Great rendition of the intro by Jack Carter. It's a well-written phrase, but few can deliver it well.

I think for "Moon" if he had said "Craters" that might have sealed the deal. Also I don't know if most people knew that the moon is the earth satellite, so maybe "Satellite" along with "Earth" might work too.
@GiftSparks
@GiftSparks 2 жыл бұрын
that is interesting- but I wonder if in 1962 people were actually as conversant with the terrain of the Moon to have known there were craters.

@ambientrelaxingandhealingm7552

@@kentetalman9008 I believe that most of the population (even in America) of the US did not know that the moon is also considered a satellite. I would agree though that more people are clueless nowadays than they were back then on many matters.

So MANY of you said you didn't like Jack Carter. Most of you said how annoying he was and how he didn't seem to care one bit about winning for the contestant. I don't know WHAT you guys are talking about because other than him being annoying, as far as the game, I thought he did pretty good!

I love Jack Carter and Joan Fontaine, nice balance as one is more elegant and ladylike, the other is boisterous and edgy, (Jack is not ladylike ha ha) and makes for a good dynamic. The male contestant seemed a nice guy but a bit dopey, how could he not have got 'stewardess' , unless he just went blank with nerves. The girl I found a bit cloying, no wonder Jack was mimicking her! For Lumber I thought Jack might have said Jack, but he didn't!

I stopped watching at 8:00 min in. Jack, another highly irritating, boring comedian. He’s not funny, he’s idiotic. Just shut up and play Joan, not at her best. Olivia is the better player
