She finally got into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame long over due

I've worked inside the music industry and when big names.....scratch that....when legends like Pat B and Neel G. put on a show, they may as well be in the studio. The in-ear monitor system is better than any top dollar sound system you've ever heard. The drummer is playing to a click so the pre-recorded stuff syncs up perfectly. The bass player is hired gun. You can tell by his rather uninspired performance. But, Pat Benatar is still invested. She's still putting the same emotion and energy into her performance after all these years and at the ripe, young age of 70. You can see it in her face and hear it in her voice. This woman is not phoning it in. This is a person who who loves music to the point where she IS music. No question. This reminds me of a passage from a fabulous film and an even more fabulous book. In that passage, a British woman is listening to a Jinn's story, who just happened to inhabit a bottle she purchased at a thrift shop in Istanbul. The Jinn was describing his time with Sheba, The Queen of, and how her mother was a Jinn. The British woman asked if Sheba was as beautiful as the legends say. To that, the Jinn replied, "Sheba was not beautiful. She was beauty itself". Pat Benatar is not musical. She IS music itself and so is Neil. What a remarkable couple!! They met and fell in love at a time when being cool actually meant something; and they've rocked their way through this life, for better and for worse, while touching millions of lives along the way. What a great story. Truly! In these times, we all need to get a lot more of this! Thank you both for making this world a bit better place for everyone with your music. You both have touched and inspired a great many souls with your music, mine included. Ans for that, thank you from the bottom of my ❤!!!

I went to a Steve Mill Band concert about 25 years ago and Pat Benatar opened for him. She put on one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Took care of her instrument no drugs booze or smoking she was classically trained love herald her voice .Bless her and that awesome voice of hers.

I saw Kansas at a fairgrounds once, Hall & Oats and Train at downtown outdoor gigs, and both Atlanta Rhythm Section and Nazareth in a college gymnasium/fieldhouse. Those may not be the glitziest shows you'll ever see or hear, but they are often more special than the big stadium shows with all the expensive food, restrictive rules, long lines for the latrine, and drunk people vomiting upwind from me and my date. What fun, hearing Pat Benatar singing "Love is a Battlefield" while people eat corndogs and elephant ears in between bopping a yellow balloon all around the front stage area! Pat is just as gorgeous as ever, she has total command of the song, and her facial expressions while talking or singing are priceless. I'm in envy of you folks at that Expo in Idaho. I hope you choked on your hot dogs! Okay, not really, but I am a bit jealous! 😉
