Being born in the year 2000, I have never known a NFL without Brady. It feels like apart of football is dying, not just a great player but someone even more then that. I truly can't describe how I feel Brady has affected the sport, but I'm grateful to see him go so he can finally stop tormenting the league. On the other hand saying goodbye to his career, it's like saying goodbye to that buddy in high school you know you probably won't see ever again.

@@asherjennings7926 The way Patrick Mahomes plays, I don't think he will make it in the league long enough. He has already had a few limiting injuries in the last few years. If he stays healthy for 23 years, MAYBE. Keep this in mind as well, Tom always took a pay cut so they could get a decent team around him. Patrick just took a half a billion dollar deal. Lets see how that plays out over the next 10 years. Tom was as successful as he was because he played at that level for 23 years straight (minus '08 when he was injured all season).

It got especially crazy in the 2010s, when it was a foregone conclusion that the Patriots will at LEAST be in the AFC championship game and have 12-14 wins every season, it was just a matter of Will they win the Super Bowl that year. As a pats fan, that was the norm for like half of my life. After he left, I realized that sh*t wasn’t normal at all, it was bananas 😂

I HATED Tom when he started, but during the 2012 game vs San Fran when they came back from 31-3 down with 4 straight touchdown drives, I was just like "damn, THAT is impressive, THAT is how you play quarterback." And who could forget the EPIC 2018 AFC Championship game vs the Chiefs. While I hated how he ALWAYS beat us, and I always loved seeing him lose, I'm FOREVER GRATEFUL to have seen his entire career. 44 points in the second half and OT between the Chiefs and the Patriots in that legendary 2018 AFCCG. Just haymaker after haymaker, back and forth the entire second half between Brady and Mahomes. Absolutely one of the most memorable games ever. But for me, it was the force-multiplier for Brady that made him so exceptional. He covered all the warts and made all his teammates better. They had faith in him, trusted he'd hold up his end and followed his lead. Maybe the greatest leader I've ever seen in team sports.

My favorite part of Tom Brady is still how underrated he was and how every team (including the Patriots) passed on him and didn’t think he would ever bring much to the table. To go from being a 6th round pick and a fourth string quarterback his rookie year to being a 3 time league MVP and a 7 time SB champion. The Brady 6 really puts his journey into perspective and how it obviously influenced his drive to becoming the greatest

I think Tom Brady really did not want to retire, but he felt that after showing Tampa Bay what it feels like and what it takes to become Superbowl Champions, they really did nothing to fortify the team to ensure they became a Dynasty. He did not think the team was going to really improve enough next year to win it all, and I am also sure he did not want to go through the indignity of trying to CONVINCE another team that he brings intangibles that cannot be quantified and that he is STILL THE GREATEST QB to EVER PLAY. He will enter the NFL Hall of Fame before New England wins another AFC EAST Title and Tom Brady will probably become a grandfather before New England ever wins another AFC Championship or Superbowl. This is also the fate of Tampa Bay. Tom Brady absolutely STANDS ALONE as the greatest QB to EVER play in the NFL. He is absolutely Peerless. He stands alone atop the Pantheon of Greatest NFL QB's. There are at least 20 Records that Tom Brady possesses that will NEVER BE BROKEN: Most combined career passing yards (102,614) Most combined career touchdowns (737) Most consecutive seasons on a winning team (21) Oldest QB to win an AFC and NFC title Most Super Bowl wins by a starting quarterback (7) Most Times appearing in a SuperBowl as a Starting QB (10) Only QB to Win a SuperBowl in 3 Different Decades Only QB to Win 5 SuperBowl MVP's Most Yards thrown in a SuperBowl (505) Most Pass Attempts in a SuperBowl (62) Most Pass Completions in a SuperBowl(43) Most Career Game Winning Drives to win a SuperBowl (6) Most Career Completions in the SuperBowl (277) Most career TD's in the Playoffs (88) Most Career Pass attempts in the SuperBowl(421) Most Division Titles (19) Oldest player to win NFL MVP (40 years old) Only NFL QB to beat all 32 NFL teams Most Wins by a starting quarterback (251) Most Career Passing Yards in the Post Season (13,400) His professionalism, fire, willpower and competitiveness will be missed. Most defenses try and key on tendencies of their opposing offense and it's focal point (the QB), and hope to force them into making a mistake. Against Tom, the defense had to make sure they didn't make even the tiniest mistake, because he will see it, key on it, and exploit it with alacrity. As the stakes rose, he gets better at it too. There's a handful of guys you need to play damn near perfect against if you want to slow them down, and Tom kept that up for the longest of anyone in this sport's history.

Tom Brady had the same force of will as Michael Jordan, without the natural ability. It’s possible we will see another 20-year career with a bunch of SB rings, but that QB will have insane physical gifts. He won’t be willing himself to compete at a level that’s frankly way above his natural skillset, year and year, making people believe he’s always about to fall off because it’s simply impossible he keeps doing this. That was the extra magic of Tom Brady we will never see again.

TB12 and Peyton share the record for play-off losses at 13, which represent 13 years in the post-season but not winning the SB (single elimination). Add that to his 7 SB rings and the three years not making the postseason, and you get his 23 years. So he made the playoffs 20/23 years (.870), and of those 20, he went to the conference championship 14/20 (.700), winning 10/14 (.714), and then further winning 7/10 SBs (.700). See a trend? Other figures - Made Conf Champ. game 14/23 seasons (.609) which is better than them Cowboy's all-time win/loss of .574. At the beginning of each season of his career, TB12 was more likely to reach that game than the cowboys were of winning any random game. His batting average for reaching the SB 10/23 seasons of (.435) would be a hall of fame year in MLB.

Fifth, literally the greatest superbowl of all time the greatest comeback to ever been rallied in sports history. Sixth, more of a defensive game then anything but at the end of the day he did enough to win the game versus an extremely stacked defense rams Seventh, the final ring in his first year on a different team man people just dont do that, only tom could do that

I highly doubt we would see another Career like Brady! 23 years of Elite Play!!!! Do you know how insane that is especially in a sport where the avg player only last 3 years in the league. Most players Best years are probably about 8 years long that's typically where a player builds there HOF career. After hitting 30+ years old most Elite players start to regress slowly some faster then others. Brady did it 23 Years straight almost hitting 50 years old in a brutal contact sport.

As far as records go, records are meant to be broken and mahomes has a pretty good chance to coming close or even beating them as long as he can stay healthy especially with an added season game , in football you are one hit away from everything changing. As far as who Tom is he's a one of a kind man. Team friendly contracts to allow a franchise to put the pieces together to win. He took players that people never really heard of to the big dance and win and made them a household name. His longevity in this sport and to have I believe just the 1 injury where he missed multiple games in that entire span of his career that is amazing in itself and one has to be blessed. Like I said above one hit can change everything.

I still think San Fran could entice him. He went through a lot this year. Let him relax get his emotions and mind right. If they made a huge commitment and used his home town and Montana love.
