Patching floor pan rust in my fox body Mustang restomod - It's finally time to patch that one rust hole we found in the floor pan. This is definitely outside my comfort zone and I think the final result isn't ideal but not bad for my skill level.

I like that You try to use as much old sheet metal as possible and make your own patches and as for Your welding it just gets better as You are doing it , practice makes perfect . Great content Thank You . 🇺🇸🇵🇷🦊👍

Thank you my friend, I will definitely have to practice welding thin sheet metal more. I'm glad this repair was completed though. For some reason I loved that I was able to transplant that stamping from the fender apron back into the car somewhere. Thanks again for watching!

Thanks bud, I wish the underside looked as good as the top. It occurred to me after I started welding that the bottom will be seen way more especially after the carpets back in. I have my fingers crossed for your build!

I have the same situation on Frankie, but it's the passenger side. Pretty much same crevice area. I'll have to email you some pics of a crack repair I did on The Eight Nine. Too many "launches" in my younger years 😂

Yeah, apparently it's a super common place to get rust. My passenger side is pretty rusty but nothing seems to have poked through (yet). Really scared about what I find after hitting it with the wire wheel. Are you going to patch Frankie?

@@SleazysGarage yes, and I thinkni will also fiberglass over the patch. It doesn't weigh much, and can't hurt. So might as well.

Man, this non bondo based approach is straight up unprofessional. 😂 seriously through great work, I like recycling metal like you do. I was going to suggest if you want to have some fun, after the paint is finished get some stickers with the VIN number and place them all over the inside,under Meath the numbers, in the wheel wells. I bet someone is going to be like omg this is original factory how did you manage to save it?

haha, thanks! Yeah that'd be pretty neat. I'm fairly sure my car is missing all of the original VIN stickers. Except maybe in the door jams? Interesting recent video over at 306 Foxbody's channel that details some of these factory tells for fox bodies.
