I think Lindholm’s waiting for Boston to pay him $7+mil times 7yrs which is too rich for Vancouver. Zadorov wants $6mil times 6yrs which someone else will pay, and Dak wants $3mil which is not that bad seeing how he has chemistry with Garland. Anyway, the Canucks should target Toffoli, Tanev, and re-sign Myers for maybe $3-4mil if possible…

@@andyd2998 Zadorov at close to $6mil is on the high side. He's definitely not top-pairing, and he plays closer to a 2nd or 3rd pairing dman, so around $5mil is closer to the reasonable side. If someone else wants to pay closer to $6mil for Zadorov, they're welcome to do so...

@tonykung8756 I would easily put Big Z as a second pairing dman. He's big, intimidating, good skating, has a great shot, and great in the locker room. Canucks need a quality player like that that brings all those intangibles.

@@andyd2998 The report from Calgary(?) is that if u give big Z too many minutes, he’s prone to mental lapses. His upside is being a big guy who skates well plus in addition to being a good teammate. I trust Rutherford will make reasonable signings and not break the bank. We also need to keep cap space available for guys like Brock, Demko, and Hughes who need contracts later on…

@tonykung8756 I would move Brock if the right offer came along. He's a one-dimensional player who's slow, gets beat on board battles, and is not a play driver. I had buddies of mine focus on him when he's on the ice and they totally agreed with me that he does nothingbout there. How he got 40 goals baffles me. Having said that, I would trade him as his value is so high right now. Fans have to try and not get too attached to players as Brock is a great guy and teammate but this is a business.

If Lindholm is getting a similar contract to Horvat it isn't from the canucks. I would like to see Lindholm back. Maybe him or Petterson need to play wing for a year. Lotto line as your top line and lindholm with Dk and Garland as the 2nd line. I don't really want the Canucks trading stuff for a pricey right winger when we have lekkerimäki coming up. Maybe not in 2024 but certainly in 2025. If we don't keep Lindholm my choices would be Johnathen Marchesault to play with Petty, and Joe Pavelski for the third line.

The NHL is so broken. You loose and get rewarded with high draft picks. You win games and are forced to watch players walk because now you can't afford them. Everything is ass-backwards. It's a joke.

Trade Hronek to Ottawa for Chychrun and play him with Hughes. Let Joshua walk because he died in the playoffs unless he comes at a reasonable cap hit. Send Demko to a team that's willing to give up a good winger and draft picks. Demco has not finished a full season in 5 yrs. Utah?

I like your comment about Joshua. Thats so true as he was very quiet in the post-season, as not a lot of people talk about that.

Canucks suck. And like the sabres they will never win a cup..They quit in game 6..The owners are a joke don't spend money on marquis forwards..lindholm there best player in playoffs and wont sign him is proof of there incompetence. The best forward theyve had in 30 years is marcus naslund..messier didnt count..its a loser franchise for a loser city. Unfortunately canada will never win a stanley cup again. Welcome to the new nhl where american owners buy cups.
