In this video, I am talking all about the process of fitting a handmade sewn garment to your unique body shape, including 3 different fitting adjustments to the garment bodice of the Bloomfield Petite Dressmaker Dress. I have narrow shoulders, so I always have to alter garments to fit them. In this video, I share a few different pattern amendments you can try to help a small bust and narrow shoulder (hello pear-shaped gals)!
I talk through the details of fitting, how to work out what makes something fit well, the toiling process, & then how to do fit tests.
Basically, I have accumulated allllll the research and knowledge I did to be able to alter the fit of my garments for a small bust and narrow shoulder, in one helpful video so you guys don't have to watch several videos, read multiple blogs etc!
the pattern I am making is the Petite Dressmaker Bloomfield Dress, an add-on pack. It has a side seam bust dart, and waist seam bust dart - so 2 on each side.
