Pattern scanning is great, I don't personally develop cheats, but when I do cybersecurity it certainly comes in handy.

For sure. My first script drafts included a few examples of how pattern scanning is actually used in a lot more situations than just game hacking. It’s more useful than just for hacking games. In malware and anti-malware, Cybersecurity as a whole as you said, it’s used very frequently. Anti-cheating is another sector. Anyway, thanks for the comment and have a great day!!

And this my friends is, what the "Master Code" does in Action Replay codes for example. It hooks a function by temporarily overriding it, dumps the value somewhere consistent and thereby allows the other codes to access that consistent value.

Assualt cube first imo for making cheats like aimbot ESP. Then I recommend csgo next. I recommend csgo next after assualt cube because csgo had its source code dumped awhile back which makes it way easier to make sure your doing it right. Your goal when reversing a game is to essentially take the machine code and turn it back into human readable code. I also recommend csgo next because you can do way more then just some dumb esp or aimbot you can learn how to do texture replacement hell you can be so bold as to write your own rain engine essentially in game using "cheats" this is something I actually did to challenge myself I coded rain and lightning into the game as a cheat because I wanted too. If you're not looking to cheat and just want to learn very basic game reversing theirs a CTF called PWNIsland3 highly recommend you challenge a friend on a hosted server

Easy! Since its obvious you know nothing about coding or computer science, take out your credit card and buy the hacks, and use them until a update changes the games anti-cheat code and detects you, banning you.... Thats the answer either find and buy it, or learn to code.

As far as I remember, ghidra doesn't have an equally convenient "SigMaker" plugin. The issue is, last time I looked into it was at least a year ago, so there is a high possibility someone has made one since. I encourage you to do some research. It's unfortunate because ghidra is great application that has many benefits over IDA, yet I and many people continue using IDA for the plugins and familiarity I suppose. You could also just manually construct the signature yourself with ghidra. Leave out the dynamic data in your sig.

Mindless idiots who use cheats should, but the people developing them shouldn't, being able to bypass a game's anti-cheat, and developing a hack is tons of work, and people who do it are at the same level or better than the game's own developers.
