Paul Bocuse, the great French chef shows me his Michelin 3 star restaurant on the banks of the Saone. Watch the ballet of serving the 48 diners. This is haute cuisine.

No doubt...these are the best videos I've ever seen. Now that's real cooking made in the real kitchen by real chefs. Incredible!

Wow - when food is treated as a fine art, everyone who eats that food is inspired, I think. Just watching this video is highly inspiring!

Wow. A man with much love and passion for food. Doesn't miss a detail. On a lighter note, no wonder all his waiters are trim...going up and down the stairs is great excerise :-)

There's a reason this food is expensive as hell, the detail, quality of the food and the ammount of chefst working on it. seriuslly they're like 14chefs in that kitchen cooking for around 50ppl? in our hotel we're 4 chefs to 70guests. we rarely tend to precut veggies and make stocks and everything ourself.

Did you know at bocuse he played this music continuously for the chefs 18 hour shifts, apparently 12 commis chefs hung themselves in the walk in fridge due to this

fine art? its not art, its a craft, big difference. They are doing stuff that has been done a million times. They arent coming up with anything new, it was done long ago. Escoffier didnt invent anything, he only organized things. People always think these guys are inventing all this food and techniques. Been there, done that, just carrying on a tradition. Sure, its fabulous, fantastic but they arent some kind of gods or artists, they are craftsman, pure and simple.

Oh look, drunk Paul Bocuse staggering up the stairs. I'm sad they just made him look like a show boater the entire time. He's one of the greatest chefs in the last 100 years. This video has no respect.

I love French food, but these hats are just ridiculous! I'd love to work in a kitchen like this, but would fucking hate that hat on my head. It's like the cone heads of SNL. Remember we come from France!

cooking is easy, I've worked in kitchens, for my sins, most chefs are not very bright. Don't idolize them cause they can pan fry a piece of fish and squirt lemon over it. They are the boss of a couple of pots and pans and a dead chicken or two, no more.

Idolize nobody, But Bocuse did put recognition for cooks, and staf working in restaurants beforehand (Like most labour) they where looked down on like servants (Hardly payed slave labour) Btw, I’f You worked in A serious successful kitchen You know this is very hard labour. nobody deserves to be looked down on! (As people often still do on people doing work below their pay!?)
