It must be a bizarre experience for McCartney on that stage, looking into the crowd of faces. Most bands will see their audience bopping around, but look at all of these people who are probably remembering that song from 40+ years ago. They're swaying back and forth, almost in tears.

This guy can just make you cry over and over and over...We were born ,grew up, lived and died by these songs. It's especially touching to see the granma/grampas singing along. We ache for the simpler times, at times...thanx Paul.

Can you imagine what it would have been like if John was never killed by that lunatic and, maybe somewhere in the 90's before George died, the Beatles did one tour? I hate to even speculate on that because it breaks my heart but I can't help thinking about it every time I see Paul playing a Beatles song in concert. The magic would be UNBELIEVABLE!!

This performance embodies what I love about Paul. The way he just keeps going at the end to get a chuckle from the audience shows that his concerts aren't just him "going through the motions" like many other artists do, and he's been around for longer than most of them! What a legend.

As a kid of 15, I started to sound out songs on piano, motivated by the Beatles. I got stuck immediately on "Til There Was You" (from "Meet the Beatles" LP) and barely tried to figure it out before I gave up. As an adult, I see the F diminished chord in that song threw me off completely! Second chord in the song, mind you! Never heard of it then! Well, the second chord in this song (not counting the intro) is a diminished chord also: C diminished. (There are actually only three diminished, or 'diminished seventh' if you will, chords, each with four names). I learned this and many other musical moves from the Beatles as well as freaking out over every song they created!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! George Harrison was particularly delighted by diminished chords, RIP. Never-ending thanks to Paul and his mates for the joy and emotions they gave and always will!!!!!!!!!

I've always liked "I'll Follow The Sun"! If Paul wrote this while living in a council flat, I think that was during his teen years -- so this is one of his earlier songs -- yet it already shows a beautiful ability later realised in other classics.

Too many people consider, like best albums by The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road or Revolver and it's great! but we musn't forget that in their early albums, there're treasures like this song too. It's really wonderful how Paul plays the guitar with melodic and moving chords. In each album (as in The Beatles or Solo career), I always appreciate that he includes, at least, one accoustic song 💖

This was 7 years ago. Paul's voice is absolutely astonishing for many reasons, one being it outlasted most of his contemporaries. But each year of aging and usage diminishes it more and more, and in the last few years it has gotten shakier. However, I thought he was still great at the Olympics. He started off with The End and that was perfect. I think he started Hey Jude very shakily because he suddenly got emotional, looking out at the crowd. But he brought it home and hit the high notes.
