The seventh installment of Battle At The Berrics pins 16 not so average "Joes" against 16 of the world's biggest pros. "Joe" slots were filled through an open call online video submission process to find the best undiscovered talent across the globe. With Joes hailing from South Africa, Switzerland, Spain, and all across America battling to make it to the top, this is truly the story of the underdog.
The Pros: Paul Rodriguez, Luan Oliveira, Chris Cole, PJ Ladd, Eric Koston, Chaz Ortiz, Nyjah Huston, Mike Mo Capaldi, Shane O'neill, Trent McClung, Albert Nyberg, Tom Asta, Morgan Smith, Moose, Sewa Kroetkov, and Weiger Van Wageningen.

If Jonny was a little more consistent he’d be pretty unstoppable. These mainstream pros are usually extremely consistent and all the conventional tricks though. This game is a prime example.

he could've gotten him out, but didn't out of respect, like he stopped doing the late flips since it wouldn't be much of a match since he noticed paul didn't have those down

Suke, or you know, it's also possible those were the only late flip variations he knew he could do or was confident enough with to do, and wasn't feeling any others (or knew any others) and just lost fair and square. Notice how it was literally all consistency and fundamentals that won this game. Paul didn't give Johnny a single letter with a weird or hard trick. These joes don't have the consistency or fundamentals is all.

all the joes in batb 7 and 8 are good at weird double flip tricks and 180 variations but the pros have basic tricks down like regular fs heel and fs flip. all the new up comers are too busy doing new age tricks so they arent as consistent with old tricks.

@@rapha6267 I think it has to do with the fact that Jonny could easily beat prod with obscure shit, or late flips, which prod isn't good at. Jonny is crazy as hell when it comes to flat ground. It's not like the tricks he was missing were because he couldn't do the trick, it looked like either nerves or an off day got him.

the berrics really needs to make a rule where if u land 3 defensive tricks in a row u get control. this way its not such an advantage to win the rock, paper, scissors

The Nollie Inward Heelflip 180 was just fucking sick. Such a hard trick to do, Yet, they make it look effortless... Absolute amazing skaters, the both of them. Johnny is always impressive with his off the wall tricks, though. Strong legs, unique/strong style. One of the best BATB's I've seen!
