Hey everyone, this is my newest video which is a tribute to Manchester United legend Paul Scholes, including some of the biggest names in world football praising one of the best central midfielders England has ever had & highlights of the man himself on & off the field. As a Liverpool supporter this is how good I think Scholes and Giggs were. Forget every other great player in their team in the last 20 years, Staam, Rooney, Ferdinand, Keane, Beckham, Ronaldo, Van Nilstelroy...... If any other side in the EPL had of had Scholes and Giggs in their team then that team would have dominated the league the way Man Utd did. Forget every foreign import that was sensational, Bergkamp, Zola, Henry, Viera, Drogba, Suarez......hands down as a LFC supporter given the choice of having any two EPL players at our club from any player in the last 20 years its Scholes and Giggs.Both players were world class, always gave their all for the club, team mates and the fans and were consummate professionals on ad off the field. They inspired others not just in their play but in their character and approach and for my mind embody everything any supporter of any club in the world wants to see in the players at their club. Glad we no longer have to face them on the pitch yet sad I'll never again see their class on that same pitch.......Thanks Scholes (and Giggs) for some of the best footballing moments i'll ever get to see!

Lance Fletcher as a Utd man I’d like to say how refreshing it was to read your comment. I’d like to say the same about Stevie G. Regardless of how his career ended, there’ll never be a more gifted and dedicated Liverpudlian at LFC. A true stalwart and Titan of the game, and an overall nice guy. He will be missed on the pitch.

As a Liverpool fan I'm not gonna harp on about the pointless Gerrard vs scholes 'who was better?' debate; If truth be told there was very little between them both. Two top players; let's leave it at that. However; I've always secretly been a big fan of scholes. Absolutely terrific midfielder; United's best player during the Ferguson era. He bizarrely won very few personal awards during his career which I think is disgraceful . Best of all he was a fantastic professional off the pitch; never got involved in any scandal and seems a very humble and modest guy. Legend. To say otherwise is just ridiculous.

Scholes is a legend and I was so sad when he retired (both times). But now I think back, I'm glad he retired in 2013. He didn't deserve to be part of the 2013 14 debacle.

I really enjoyed this video. I remember Roy Keane saying about how Scholes was the only person he knew that did what he could do on the field and then go home to his family as if he’d just finished a shift at the local factory. His talent, class, dignity and humbleness is and always will make him the greatest footballer of all time. He didn’t need to show off with fancy tricks and flicks. He could do it all. No doubt the likes of Beckham, Zidane, both Ronaldo's, Totti etc are world class footballers but there was nothing that Scholes could not do. I cannot think of anyone that played the game like Scholes. A one club player who loved and respected the shirt who came out of retirement because he was always so aware of what Sir Alex did for him. The argument of Gerrard, Lampard or Scholes is just ridiculous. Scholes was and still is what the game is about. And no I’m not Man Utd fan It’s the blue half of Sheffield for me. Irreplaceable. To be spoke of so highly and watched and studied at the Barcelona school of football is like winning the Nobel Peace prize. He should have won the Ballon more than any other but he was never a glitz and glamour player. It seems you need to be trussed up like a chicken these days to win that ‘prize’. I can’t go ranting about uefa or the FA as I’ll get cramp in my fingers. Just ask the wife about that one. You’re missed Paul you really are. I’d love to have seen Scholes or Keane putting in some crunches on Pogblargh.

Some compare him to Xavi and Pirlo. However, I believe that Scholes is an untouchable legend, but also very much underrated. I personally put Scholes way above Xavi and Pirlo

People keep comparing Stevie G, Lampard, Xavi, Pirlo, Davids, Zizou and many more to Scholes. Each player has an individual talent and is a class of his own. So quit comparing those great players. To me Scholes is the most complete midfielder to have played the game. He was even acknowledged as being the most complete midfielder by other greats such as Zizou, Xavi, Pele, Maradona brazilian Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Henry etc. a joy to have watched him play. The game misses him

The difference between last year and this year? Paul Scholes. We all love him but not many fans understand exactly why he is so good. Why the likes of Socrates, Henry, Xavi, Zidane and Guardiola consider him at one time, one of the best in the world. The reason: His ability to pull the strings in the midfied. For example, try to remember how many times over the years Manchester United starts an attack when Scholes makes a long pass half way across the pitch into the space for our speedy wingers to run onto. Which they then cross or pass in for the strikers to score. The distribution and vision of Scholes, speed of Valencia/Young/Nani and Finishing of RVP/ Rooney/ Hernandez make us world class. It won us the title last season. The problem now is that nobody can replace Scholes and so our entire tactic breaks down. Thus when our winger receive the ball now, its too late and they are normally too deep. They are now required to do a much harder task of beating the FB to cross or pass it in for our stikers to score. You do not have to take my word for it. Just look at the stats for this season and the last and you will see the amount of accurate crosses and key pass by the wingers have decreased by alot. Not to mention Scholes staggering number of passes and long balls. Hernandez and Kagawa's lack of goals is partly attributed to this too. Contrary to popular opinion, Kagawa's biggest asset is not his playmaking ability but his goal scoring record. He scored 12 goals in the first season at Dortmund and 17goals in the second season. Though he did not do well in the first season at Man Utd, the second season might have been different if Scholes was still around. For both of them, their acceleration is a huge part of their game. They can react faster than those huge defenders in the box. They are heavily reliant on fast and accurate crosses/key passes into the box. Without it, they are lame. Alot of ppl blame Moyes or the current crop of players for the slump and perhaps they are partly to be blame as well. However, we should not forget that this season was the season that Manchester United lost its most important player that had been a key part of the squad for the past 19 years. Gary Neville once said Scholes was the reason for Man Utd late goals while SAF said Scholes was the best player he ever had. IMO, while C.Ronaldo has the ability to beat his maker consistently, Scholes had the ability to beat the entire defense with his consistent and accurate pin point passing and vision. Reason for this slump: Paul Scholes.

One of the most accomplished Football player of his era. His vision of the game and passing ability were simply out of this world n that my friend you are born with that gift. England should have put a team around him and allow him to control the game n do his thing. My role model for sport. Never dives. Keeps strong on the ball. Will bleed for his team and continue to bleed until he dies from bleeding. He will take the hit and keep moving. He plays for the love of the sport, not for the fame or money. Will never hear about him out of football. He will always reject he is a great player. He just wants to play the game. The best thing about Scholes aside from his on field ability, is how humble he is off the field. You never hear about him or any antics. People should learn from that. Because when you see people like Balotelli who have immense abilities but ruin themselves doing stupid shit off the pitch, you understand the genius of Scholes.

As the old saying goes, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone." Every football fan knew Scholes was brilliant, and it's sad that we'll never see him play again. I feel truly lucky to have watched him play so many times. I've seen and watched all The Greats of the 90's and Naughties... but Mr Scholes is truly in a class of his own. Industrious, Inspiring, Clever and Selfless on the pitch. A grounded, quiet and shy man off the pitch. Legend.

If he made a.mistake (one of his notoriously bad tackles )he would look towards Fergie with genuine e fear in his eyes That shoes great character. It shows no matter how big in the game he's become he still kept his respect for elders and mentors. Shows what a good guy he is, super star yet grounded enough to be bothered about his boss. A true GENTLEMAN. Dying breed unfortunately!
