Ole was unlucky. Great sub for several seasons, then Becks left and Ole played right wing. He was excellent, possibly even better than Beckham. Really thoughtful crosses, just like a striker would want, and a goal threat from open play too. Then he got a bad knee injury. Never recovered and retired a few years later.

@@chrishammond4381 I was there mate. I was at every Home game in old Trafford in that period, and saw Beckham from his debut, through his "purgatory" after the World Cup, and his two "Purple Patch" seasons , where he outran and wore down every full back he played against, which earned him his transfer to Madrid, ( as well as his shirt sales) He was a very good player, even without his dead ball skills. Ole on the right wing for that one season, before his injury, was at least his equal. His crosses were more thoughtful, (as an ex centre forward he knew when and how to play a through ball) he was a bit quicker over 6 yards (Becks was never teh quickest) and had a killer shot when cutting in from the right ( rarely part of Becks game) Football is all about opinions, and if yours is different from mine , i respect that.( even I f I know I'm right 😁😁)
