Mirabelle Star I didn't have a problem with Paula Yates behavior. I also took your comment more along the lines of sarcasm. Anyway, certain stars (whether men or women stars) have a way of making people lose all sense and act the way she did here. Look up Ann Curry interview with Brad Pitt. At least this was mutual here unlike that interview. Yikes!

Yes. 1 person in a relationship has to be the stable one. Helena was stable. Although it was probably still quite unlucky what happened.
@sassyfras40852 ай бұрын
@samtalksfootball4312 Paula was off her ROCKER, *( and not in the least bit attractive.)Michael obviously was a quite a bit crazy too.... or a lot more likely. I don't know about Helena and his relationship or how stable she was, HOWEVER, I just CANNOT grasp what he saw in Paula? He left Helena for her??? She is just so Unattractive in visual, and personality. Maybe Helena 'dodged a bullet ' Those poor innocent little kids.... barely had a chance. Only God knows the truth, Only he can judge. My statements are just MHO....
@samanglais2 ай бұрын
@sassyfras4085 Well Paula you can see here is very witty and charming. Probably a lot more so than Helena. But when people are like that it's usually because they are trying really hard to be, trying to fill an inner void and it's not sustainable. When this wears off you get an even worse version of who they actually are. So yeah Michael then probably hit the drugs harder.

I've read all six books on Michael and you are correct. They had just been together the night b-4 in his hotel. She was the one who disguised her voice and called the papers so they would find them at the Halkin Hotel and then at Chilston in the country. She wanted to engineer a final breakup with Helena and it worked because it was all out in the open and Helena wasn't havin' it. Poor Helena and Bob. Paula was a real piece of work. She chased him all over the world for years. And yes Michael never met aa drug he didn't like fav ravs were heroin, opium, Ecstasy and blow!! And really really really kinky sex. Polaroids of them in latex with cut out holes she at one point playing the man and Michael the woman if you know what I mean. I always thought Michael was bi and a little fey. This wasn't anything Michael didn't talk a lot about. He was really addicted to kinky sex

@wickedlynaughty73527 жыл бұрын
+keogh1969...While it is true that they had sex 30 minutes after this interview (Paula's own words), this affair started years before this interview. You can benchmark it atleast from the conception of Pixie Geldof (aka Pixie Hutchence) which would have made it late '89/early '90 as Pixie was born in September of 1990. In all probability it most likely started around the year of "The Tube" interview which was in '85 or '86.

They’d been having an affair on & off for years prior to this interview. All this interview did was expose it and Michael wasn’t the only one she’d had a string of affairs behind Bob Geldoffs back. It’s Bobs own fault because this is what happens when you marry some random junkie groupie that pick up after one of your gigs. Paula Yates was an untalented shitstain on society and Michael Hutchance was a washed up 80’s rock star who made one great album and a few shitty ones. Even in 1994 times and music had changed and no one had really given a shit about INXS in years.

I assume that Paula was a very interesting person. Because she was not pretty. Unlike Michael who was extremely beautiful. Paula had a very interesting personality. And that was more important than the lack of beauty. I think this relationship is just a sexual passion. How do you imagine this relationship if Michael survived? I think that Michael would probably cheat on old and ugly Paula with a beautiful model.
@macaronblanc9522 Жыл бұрын
@@beattella1 wow you seem VERY bitter and not quite balanced...^^ Paula was very cute and pretty back in the days... and btw both died tragically.... no need to talk about how beautful she was or not
@beattella1 Жыл бұрын
@@macaronblanc9522 I write about her beauty, or rather the lack of beauty, because this relationship was based on sexual fascination. I am surprised that such a beautiful and charismatic man became sexually fascinated by an older woman, a not very pretty mother of three children. I've read a bit about Michael. He was beaten up and suffered from a very serious brain injury. He had no taste or smell. He suffered from depression alternating with bouts of aggression. I think he chose Paula because he just needed a mature woman, a carer, a mother. He was a very unhappy man. However, the relationship with Paula and all the scandals that happened around this relationship only worsened his mental state. Sometimes men experience the so-called "midlife crisis" and leave their wives for younger partners, because they want to relive their youth and carefree romance. I think that was the case with Paula. She wanted to have an affair because she was a little bored with her twenty-year relationship with Bob Geldof. She wasn't single and unattached like Michael. She had children. It is normal that her husband did not want his children to live on another continent. In addition, Paula started taking drugs with Michael. Bono broke off contact with them due to their drug addiction. It was a couple of two very immature people, even though they were both in their thirties. If Michael had survived, they would 100% not be a couple anymore.

Personally, (and I’m not trying to be gross or disrespectful) I think she did that (put her leg over) to hide his erection. It is known these two had affairs before. He might have got a bit excited again being there with her. The way he’s positioned on the bed- the legs going forward, I highly suspect they were both giggling over the fact his excitement was getting a bit obvious, and she might have done that both in familiarity and to comfort/protect him. Also, in the beginning, what did Paula mean when she said that he has “tackled troublesome trousers”? I’m not quite sure to what she is referring to, but perhaps it was something occurring just before the start of the taping.
