Also...... with this same recipe, cut your powdered sugar in half and use about 4 tlbs. of condensed milk. It will make you hurt yourself its so good.

You said you can leave it out on the counter unrefrigerated. Are you sure. I think he means the icing won’t fall or separate. The cream cheese is dairy as is cream.

All stabilized whipped cream needs to be refrigerated at all times, it can only be left out for serving.

Paula-when I’ve made whipped cream ahead and don’t want it to liquify again in the fridge I’ll add a tablespoon of cream cheese to it. I can keep it in the fridge for a few days and it stays that way. Thanks for all your wonderful recipes and tips❣️

I make my stabilized whipped cream , using unflavored Knox gelatin, dissolved in boiling water cool in freezer or refrigerator. 16 ounces heavy whipping cream powdered or superfine sugar.vanilla. whip cream as you are add in cool gelatin vanilla sugar whip until peaks stabilized whipped cream

That’s great. I’ve put that on pumpkin cheesecake. It’s awesome. I think it tastes way different from plain whip cream and I wouldn’t leave it out very long

Thank you for all your time and care you put into making your videos. As you are giving to others, I want to give back with a true blessing. We have no real peace here in this world, but we can have peace, it comes from Jesus and accepting his free gift of salvation. Life here will have trials and tribulations, sadness, and wickedness. However here our life is over in a blink of an eye, eternity is forever and ever. So much better knowing we can spend all eternity in Heaven; no more cancer, no more murder, no more pain. In Mark 16:15 he commands us too "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature". Jesus paid it all and he will be take care of all the things that are heavy on our shoulders.

Yeah, I use stabilized whipped cream most often to ice Black Forest cakes. However, I just whip cream and stabilize with bloomed and melted Knox gelatin.

Look for Dr. Otekers product called Whipp it!, a powdered stabilizer that you beat in the whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla. Amazing results, you can pipe it on with a pastry bag and frost a cake just like an Italian butter cream.

Stabilized means it won't collapse or deflate after making it. It'll hold it's form better, but will still need to be refrigerated because of the dairy!

I use unflavored gelatin or a little powdered vanilla pudding mix to stabilize mine. I have a lot of people who do not like the cream cheese flavor. I do think this seems a bit fussy to make but I'd try it for cupcakes and not consider it a whipped cream frosting.

you can also make stabilized whipped cream using powdered milk and whipping cream.... 1C whipping cream, 2 teaspoon powdered milk, 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla. This is what my mom used a lot, but because of the dairy in the cream, it was still kept in the fridge.

this is the only frosting i like... no need to get 2 bowls messy. I've thrown all the ingredients in at once and get the same result. I use cane sugar . You cannot taste the cream cheese at all if there is enough sugar, All to taste... I learned it here on YT and I'm hooked

Cream cheese changes the flavor! The simple method is to add liquified gelatin while beating. I've done this with black forest cake and it stayed completely stable in the fridge for hours.

This is only 4oz cream chz to 1 cup whipping cream (which expands to more when whipped),vanilla & a little powdered sugar vs. cream chz frosting is usually 8oz cream chz, a stick of butter, 4 or more cups powdered sugar, vanilla & only a couple tablespoons of milk. I think I would still want to keep leftovers in frig though but I can see where it wouldn't collapse as whip cream can easily do.

Paula, you are misunderstanding the word stabilize in conjunction with refrigeration. Yes, the cream cheese will allow the whipped cream to hold it's consistency longer, (stabilize), but this still absolutely needs to be refrigerated. You could maybe leave it out an hour or two, just like any other food, but after that, it will begin to weep. Even if the heavy whipping cream was pasteurized, refrigeration is a must.

Why would she think it means it doesn't need to be refrigerated when the written directions say refrigerate until ready to use. Even if this means until time to ice a cake with it why would you need to refrigerate it at any time if spoilage is not a concern.

@@tennesseeiris701 Yes, I agree. Stabilizing, in this sense, means that the whipped cream will "hold up" longer. If you've ever whipped cream, you know that it doesn't stay whipped for a long, even with the addition of cream of tartar. It begins to weep. It doesn't mean you don't have to refrigerate. Not sure why she gets the no refrigeration idea.

I figured you would comment on this LOL. Never in my life had a coconut cake with this icing without refrigeration! As you said, she missed the point of stabilization. I am becoming less of a fan and more of a critic. Someone is NOT giving her good advice! Sadly

@@sherryrethwisch9589 Hello Sherry. Yes, I had to state the obvious. I agree with you as to critic vs. fan, and either bad or no advice from the "team". It. So many people take her word as gospel....her misinformation and interpretation are getting a bit more cringeworthy and difficult to watch. As many commentors say here, "then don't watch"! I think I will be taking that illustrious advice.

I put a few tablespoons of skim milk powder to the sweetened whipped cream. I keep it in the fridge and the whip cream lasts hours and hours and hours!!!!

Stabilized just means you can make it ahead--usually you have to make whipped cream right before using and it won't stay whipped for long. Please refrigerate!

Absolutely not. She is misunderstanding the meaning of stabilize, as to meaning no refrigeration. It simply means that the cream cheese will help the whipped cream keep it's consistency, not that it means no refrigeration.

I was getting ready to write what CJS said. stabilized means it will keep its fluff & not collapse if you put it between two or more layers of cake. It is stabilized & will hold up a cake. But don’t leave it unrefrigerated.

@@oceanteabear Lol, I can remember my mom and grandma stuffing the T. turkey the night before Thanksgiving too😁. Although none of us ever got sick, it was not the correct thing to do. Back then they knew no better about food borne illnesses, etc. My point is that Paula is reaching thousands of people, so if she is passing along misinformation, newer cooks won't know the difference.

I understand what you are saying. Keep a good immune system etc & not being a germaphobe can actually protect you. Too extreme one way or the other isn't good. Give the people choices & let them decide for themselves. I do understand the safety problem & it's good that you brought it up.

Why even add the sugar?? The cream cheese would add enough sweetness, or even add Mascarpone cheese, to the whipped cream. Then it would be keto/ carnivore friendly. (And diabetic) And being there's dairy in it, you'd still refrigerate it. 🤔 Paula's losing it on a daily basis!
