@@SnapBolt I watched and im playing a version similar of that deck you played, (here comes the but) but i believed that todays meta is more agresive and diffucult for a control/tempo deck, thats why i want to see the "master" in action.

​@@SnapBolt Oh you even had faithless looting! Not sure how much of a white source that is, but I think we are looking at something around 55% (16 sources is 52% and I'm pushing it up a bit due to the lootings hehe), so maybe it was a keep considering the opponent kept 7? Close call!

Yup. A lot of pauper decks win by beating down with 1 and 2 power creatures, like faeries. But the main win con here is the initiative

It’s better for mana cost since it’s colorless and has unheart, but it’s worse for stats and because it’s not white. Raffine allows you to cast a discarded Strands for free immediately and it’s not weak to one damage pingers/spells. Also it doesn’t die attacking into one power creature and can trade obnoxious 1/3 defenders like Downbringer cleric and others

@@SnapBolt would you consider adding a couple Cabaretti Courtyard for fixing and additional lifegain, or do you think it clashes with Cleansing Wildfire too much?

@@lenlee14 Good question. I explain at the end of the vid. We could play more red white duals, but then we increase the amount of tap lands we have. We need 9 indestructible lands for wildfire minimum.

@@SnapBolt I like the Darksteel Citadel option because it’s an untapped indestructible land, meaning you can turn 1 mountain hold up bolt (or turn 1 Rustvale) turn 2 Citadel into Wildfire. Then you could even make space for 4 Wind-Scarred Crag or something for more consistency. Have you entertained the thought of 1 or 2 Thornscape Familiar? You could plug in 1 Forest and 1 Cab Courtyard for cheaper red and white spells. It also baits out removal and counter magic, so it might not even interfere with Prismatic Strands all that much, not to mention making Strands only cost 2cmc in the hand. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yea, even though it’s a two color deck, your mana is bad. Not sure there is much you can do about it

@@SnapBolt cutting red is an option, but I know it’s not popular. Another solid version was just mono white + mulldrifter

Potentially interesting, but I’d like to hear an actual argument for Informant rather than vague gesturing. The argument for Looting is that 1 mana is half as much as 2 (MUCH easier to have double spell turns), the extra draw is very relevant, and this deck already runs a bunch of ground blockers and some removal so we’re not really hurting for bodies.

Hey thanks so much. I think 4 bolt is good. As far as golgari mid, it’s a tough match up, there’s no denying that. They have monarch + init too, great removal, and ancestral recal (deadly dispute). The match up is still winnable, just tough. Guardian seems decent but they do have a lot edicts. Not sure what the best plan is against them yet but I would just have as much card advantage as possible and cut things like stonehorn dignitary.

No because the kuldotha red decks will just crush cop red with all their 1/1’s. Think you just want to gain life, strands them, and draw cards yourself
