You wasted your time with Arthur. You should've grilled him on whether he disavows NYT's The Daily after their terrible Maneskin episode. May you one day grow as a person so that you may feel the shame you so rightly deserve.

Miss ThousandHunny is exactly why I have always been the biggest fan of redheads…I don’t care how much fun blondes supposedly have. And specifically she is a pleasure to listen to. She needs a job in the gaming industry with that personality!

Is this a sort of joke? Jews commonly routinely turn away converts and have discussions only with the eager, not proselytize the unsolicited with generic platitudes.

Sometimes poor interviewing from the guy with light hair, seems to have a chip on his shoulder and really ham fisting his message/opinion into a lot of these, to the point of trying to put words into those he's interviewing mouths. Funny because a fair amout gave a coherent more nuanced take on live service games.

this will probably read as a hate comment, but not my intention, actually a long term fan of the channel. I think it's something he could improve on in any future videos, and that this video would perform better without that present in it.

Hey, light hair guy here. This year we tried to create a "storyline" for the convention by asking people the same question. Last year we just asked random questions and it worked at the time, but we were trying something out this time. The first guy we interviewed were the fighting game devs on Day 1. They brought up live games and we saw all the big booths were for live games, so we figured that would be a good storyline to ask people about. I envisioned those questions would be segmented into their own section about live games and we would cut between responses of everyone we interviewed within that context, but Mark had his own approach and I think it works. The goal is not to hamfist a message, but to encourage people to say something. Some of the interviews are with developers - people with expertise who think about the industry all the time - but most of the interviews are with regular gamers. They don't think "what is my view on X" and never had a reason to until a microphone was in their face - which isn't the best time to think things through. This can lead to people freezing up or just not saying anything valuable. I sometimes state a view in my question because it makes it easier for people to think. They can think "I agree/disagree with what he just said, and now I know why" and they start talking. We don't really gain anything by getting random people to say things they don't believe. We do gain something when they say what they think and sometimes that requires probing them a bit. That's the goal and it works! Hope this explains the approach.

@@ArthurAugustyn getting everyone's views on it as a subject is great! I understand that this is cut and edited so the actual conversations likely played out differently, and I get the need for probing and that not everyone would be great in front of camera. It seems like you know what you're doing for sure, and as I mentioned before this wasn't intended as negatively as I'm aware it likely reads. It was just a few times I picked up on it sounding more like "don't you think this?" Rather than trying to get to what they personally felt on it. Camera shy people might even be more inclined to just agree with whatever opinion you put forward in that situation too, as the path of least resistance. Maybe it just contrasted with the well nuanced takes on live games some interviewees gave. I hope I didn't offend/upset with my comments anyway, it was meant more as constructive criticism than a hate comment. Having areas we can improve on is true for anyone in any craft, it wasn't personal, and I'm just some guy what do I know, lol.
