this was so helpful, whenever I get ferrets I don't think I will have the ability to do a raw diet so knowing what dry foods are safe is really nice :)

thank you so much for this video! This video was really helpful for me because I can't buy whole meat chunks and then prep them so this gives me a really nice alternative if I ever do end up getting a ferret

I have started to feed my babies the Dr Elsey Clean Protein it’s recommended in her chart as well as other charts I’ve seen & have asked long time ferret owners, they are loving this food & doing great as well as my cat! I do mix in some of Stella & Chewy Chik Chik Chiken Morsels & they love it. 🐾❤️ ( might consider getting ZiwiPeak as well ) 😊

I was considering getting the Dr Elsey Clean Protein food, is there a difference between the chicken recipe and the salmon recipe? Just to make sure I don’t get the wrong one!

The ferret smell hasn’t changed it just normal as usual for me, & I would go with the chicken kind, I don’t think salmon is no good plus it’s not in any of the charts that I’ve seen.

justtttttttt putting this out there, a 8 pound bag of K9 dog food is $236. you read that right, 8 pounds. its soooooooo much cheaper to feed raw omg

Hi if I feed the ziwipeak kibble do I have to take one flavor or more and mix them so my carpetshark has more tasty meals? Do I have to feed something else to reach all his needs ? I am a vegetarian so the raw meat is nothing for me to prepare. I like your video’s and know many more to do the good things for my ferret and see all the mistakes I made in the past. Hey:) I just want your opinion on feeding ziwi peak? I’ve been told instinct is ok but not the best for ferrets? I’d also like you opinion on that if you don’t mind, and if switching to ziwi would be a better option. I cannot feed raw until I move out because my parents don’t want me to take up freezer space as I have a big family. Just trying to make the best out of my situation till when I move out next year. Thanks!

She feeds a balance raw diet. She has videos on that and for treats, the purebites chicken and salmon is healthy for them because it’s one simple ingredient and it’s freeze dried. Hope this could help

At the moment, I can only do kibble, but will be trying to switch to something like this. I do have a question, I have been feeding Marshall’s kibble for a while as I hadn’t looked further into it before. I did some research and saw that a lot of people feed Wysong, and that Marshall’s was being shunned. I chose to switch to Wysong kibble as the macros looked better(higher protein). In your opinion, is the Wysong actually “better” than Marshall’s? I consider the nutrition and the morality of the company as separate issues, but would really prefer to give Marshall’s no money at all.

I’d also like to add that I am a rabbit breeder, and have fresh rabbit on hand basically all the time. I’d love to get them eating that, but they are picky as hell. Any tips if I were to try to move them to that?
