"with today's bowling balls and their urethane finishes, the pins are no match for today's power players" - man if he only knew what was to come lol.
@michaelethangross3395 Жыл бұрын
You can say that again. I had an Angle urethane ball that i got brand new in 1986 as my strike ball because of its hook potential, in 2002 I only used it to throw straight at spares or on dry lanes in favor or much more aggressive particle, reactive resin, etc.
@coopergates9680 Жыл бұрын
These days development can't do much more and there are way too many balls that don't offer much of an advantage over old stuff. While it's true that old school urethane isn't for the Hollywood shot, the Super Cuda/C will still climb hills with the new stuff.

I got to meet the late Mark Roth and George Branham at Active West Town Square Lanes in Riverside Ca in 1992. Very polite gentlemen.

A true great. Had the pleasure of bowling against Pete McCordic, Ernie schlegel, Guppy Trupp & Terry Getler in their '87 tour of South Africa. No airs & graces, just genuine good guys.

Branham III and his dad have always been very well known and good bowlers in the Southern California area.

One of the wildest 299’s I’ve ever seen 🤣🙌
@ricklabreche7893 Жыл бұрын
I was the in audience that night I see me on camera. I was also there year or two ahead or after this but have never seen over video. Was so easy to get to these in the 80s. No fees. U get there about 5 pm and get a seat right behind lanes. I’m between 44 and 45

He had 3 shots not as good as that last one. 1st frame, duplicate 2nd frame, and when he went high and tripped the 4-9.

Pete Weber has ruined watching bowling for me. He’s such a whiner. Mark Roth, Earl Anthony, Marshall Holman played the game the right way and with respect for the game.
@buyystocks4 ай бұрын
bowled at these lanes with pete weber but had earl anthony as a partner and then brian gobel, he bowled a 300 next to my lane 1 game before moving to my pair.
@radinsyah15743 ай бұрын
Quite true. Add Mike Aulby to that list of classy bowlers.

Weber was and is still a punk. He may have money, but he has to look in the mirror, and at his wife every day. That is a loser!

PBA was done for me when they tried to make some of these guys out like they were WWE wrestlers. Like when Webber started pounding this groin and calling himself PWJ
@johndelessio67623 ай бұрын
Nothing against Pete. The game changed. Forcing the bowlers to be more outlandish. Loud crowds , ugly shirts.
