Waianae Intermediate math teacher Luis Sanchez was bullied as a young student by his schoolmates. Now, as a teacher, he has been bullied by some of the students on campus, mostly through slurs written about him on the walls near his classroom. This time, however, many of his students have rallied around Sanchez to lend him moral support and express their disapproval of the bullying. The school administration has stepped in to inform students and teachers of the schoolís, and the State of Hawaiiís, anti-bullying guidelines. What Sanchez has learned from the experience is that with the support of others he can forgive and move on.
